I was gone all day yesterday and came back to some nice growth and nice color on all 3 of them last night. I look in on them this morning and not looking so hot. Brown dots are on both now. What could it be? Am I under feeding them by feeding less than 1/4? This is the first feeding. I checked ph and it is fine. It doesnt get below 71 at night. And stays under 84 in the day. I use distilled water on them and the recipe for success. And this started on the biggest plant before I even fed it. Hmmmm

Can yah see the spots in these pics forming on the bigger plants? I hope the pics are good enough.

You should NOT be using any nutes right now.You started from seed right? You cant feed babies steroids(nutes), and thats what youve done. When you do feed them, do it evey other feeding2-3 times a month.Any more than this could increase you chanes for nute burn or stunted growth.keep everything pretty much on the same schedule if you can.Notice how the plant/s react after you feed them. Good Luck man, Ill be checking back in on ya:weed:

This started before I fed them. They were in just distilled water. I fed them because the bigger one was almost 2 weeks old and started having problems. The day after they were great, nice and green and the cupping started going away.
What does everyone set there ag for? I was reflecting and at first i had it set for tomatoes. Then I read to set it to greens to keep pumping 24 hours. Should I just plug the pump into the timer and run it as the same time as my lights?

Well I didnt do anything and just let it grow. Lots of new growth and the brown spots dont seem to be getting worse. I removed the little runt short rider sprout and put it in some ff ocean forest. I think it was having trouble getting its roots through the AG sponge so I trimmed it up a bit and put it in dirt.
And born today sometime in the last 2 hours is a little sprout that a planted the other day. I just checked on it about 8ish and checked it again just now and there is a little 1 inch sprout unfolding. It was a nice feeling. heh I will post some pics tomorrow when I get the chance.

Looking good today and growing nice. I added 2 26w 2700k on the sides. They add a little heat but it only gets up to 88 if the door is closed about 83 with the door open.
1st pic is my little sprout that popped last night. It is at 18/6 for about a week or 2 then into the closet for 12/12. 2. and 3 show the growth and the runt that was in the back which I replanted in soil because of possible root problems. I got a bigger pot for it today but I will see if it thrives first. Enjoy

I changed the res today and used plain pHed water. New dots on my leaves. wtf lol I don't think I have a green thumb or something. Well my dirt grow is going nice. But the AG is a pain. Maybe I should just leave it alone. heh Oh and I think the big bagseed plant is a female. She has little green pistols growing under all branches and I think I see a white hair coming in up top. I don't wanna get to excited yet so I am gonna give it a couple hours or til tomorrow. I will post a pic later after dinner. Merry Xmas

Yeah, the grow that I thought was pistils is actually new leaves growing out from where older leaves are dieing. heh This thing does stink though. I am still having trouble with my AG grow though. I will put up some pics later if I get the chance. They are growing nice but tips are sagging a bit and spots keep forming on both plants in the AG now. Soil plant is doing fine and I don't have to do anything for it. I havent even had to water it yet. heh Next grow will be all soil I think.

where older leaves are dieing.
There should not be any leaves dieing yet!
They are too young to be "old".
I cannot tell u whats wrong because there is not enough info for that.
I can say in my honest opinion that i think hydro is a much easier way to grow, but one day u will find yourself wanting to "upgrade" to dirt.
Dirt is very hard to "master" because all the mixes out there are made different. (sometimes 2 bags of the same dirt can be different) also if your not a really good dirt grower then the hydro guys can and will grow more , faster.
I love dirt myself , but if your in it for the loot then hydro is the easier way to go.
Alot of soil growers have not ever had any problems, so they really dont know what a problem is or how to handle it.
One more major thing to remember, do NOT buy into the "label hype" of most foods out there! Read your plant , NOT the label.
maybe u can stick with both , water and dirt and see which one u like better :weed:

man i wouldnt worry about nutes yet. they all work. I'd dial in that system if I were you. Just get one nute and work with that. Creating the right conditions for your plants in all the other aspects of growing is going to be where "noobs" see success, not based on a nute. In fact now that I look back on some of my early days, I can see that my biggest problem was that i tried too many things at once. When you are adjusting several things at the same time, not only is it impossible to judge your results. It is also hindering you from getting in your "groove". After a number of grows most guys just do it all second nature, and get good results too. That's when you start really taking your process apart. Right now, just get a process. Get to your ideal temps both night and day, get enough lumens on those plants, and get enough air on them. Do these things correctly man, and any of the commercial nutes will give you good results....REPEAT any of the nutes can easily feed a huge, successful crop. Be patient and learn your craft!

They are doing pretty good. Lots of new growth. There is some damage in some of the older leaves. But I can not tell you what it was from. I think they were just hungry. I have them on 1/4 nutes now and they are growing nice now. The dirt grow is going so easy. I've only watered the things once and it looks healthier then the other 2. The 2 stragglers that weren't cutting it in the AG are in 2 little yogurt cups and some soil and they are starting to come alive it appears. I will have to transplant them into bigger pots if they do ok.

(pic1)They're growing nice now. The short rider looks a little droopy, not sure why. The bag seed is growing fast.(pic2) 2 little nubs I started in the AG are looking healthier and some new growth. I think I may transplant this weekend. (pic3)One is kinda deformed though but it is growing. maybe it will get the axe. (pic4) This is short rider that has been in soil since day 1. I was gonna go straight 12/12 but I am am doing 18/6 and gonna let it veg a little while and see if it autoflowers or not.

I got some nice seeds to do next time from the single seed centre. Lowryder 1 from Joint Doctor and Wonder Woman, Blue Mystic, and Northern Lights from Nirvana.
