first grow.. half way over. questions.........

my plants are ready to bud.. i flushed sunday and switched to 12/12 on monday using LEDs. my plants range from 1-2ft. i was wondering how long it should be to find out the sex? also how tall will the plant grow to be? and how long until i will be able to pick the buds? thanks

Don't know much about LEDs but under normal conditions it takes about 1-2 weeks to see sure signs of a male or female, the plants should at least double and maybe triple in height in the first 4 weeks of flower and the flowering time is strain determined. Indica - 8-10 weeks on average and Sativa - 10-14 weeks on average. Do you know what strain you have or is it bag seed?

but some strains dont double insize they just become more bushy..but

I ran 3 grows with bag seed before I felt confident enough to purchase the real deal. Happy I did! Sometimes bag seed with have all sorts of strange traits. Keeps you on your toes and you learn to deal with things as they are and not freak. Happy Growing everyone!

you should usually find male flowers within 5-8 days after switching photoperiod. female flowers usually show within 7-9 days, but can really take as long as 2 weeks depending on your conditions. to speed up the process, change your lighting schedule to 16-8 a week or 2 before inducing flowering.
