So I've recently decided to invest in growing my own :) built a 4x2x4 foot white malamine box and germed 5 crop kings green crack seeds which are now 7 days since sprout , I have them in solo cups with a 25/75% mix of perlite/canna coco and will be going into 2 gallon smart pots with the same medium mix when ready , they're under a Mars hydro 144 reflector and will be feeding general hydroponics trio and calmag , I have a 4inch inline fan/carbon filter on back order and should be here with time to spare before they get skunky , I know I don't have a whole lot of space but I plan to scrog them at a 10-12 inches above my pots which are 10 inches high so it'll be tight but hope they'll have enough room without hitting the light , now as I've stated this is my first grow so any feedback good or bad is more than appreciated , cheers

Hi, first off dont shit where you eat LOL! get the nutrients out of the grow space, second get some support under the babies and that silly net so you dont break anything, get them closer to the light, back of the hand method works well, if it burns you it burns them but its led so shouldnt be an issue. when re potting pot up to the bottom of the first set of leaves is always best keeps them shorter in the end. I would top when you get 4 nodes on the teenagers, and keep topping 2 more times each should fill the screen up nicely. Cant see the plants really so nothing on the health of them, looks like a nice setup you can keep clean really easily. Keep in mind humidity will cause rust so any electronics you can work outside the grow space makes things last longer, even the ends of ratcheting straps rust in one run!

Yes agreed they just needed a temporary home out of site , the nutes and all other non essentials went into the cabinet next to this last night after I installed the counter top on it , moved the light down yesterday morning another inch and a half-ish came back 4 hours later to some downward curling and slight darkening , did some more reading on my lights ... I guess the 5w led chips are too powerful for the little lady's transitioning from cfls the first few days at that range so moved em up to about 2ft and will be keeping a close eye so they don't stretch and lower accordingly till I find the sweet spot , I def plan to pot up the stem and top at least twice (would do more but want quicker veg times) guess I'll just see how things work out and plan according for next time :)

And thank you , I built it with cleanliness and discretion in mind so having equipment on the outside isn't much of a option unfortunately and thanks for the rust warning ..it hadn't occurred to me ... got me thinking maybe I'll put the power bar inside of a plastic container screwed to the wall and notch a few slots for the cords and seal it up somehow and have the lid as a access panel
