First Grow! Going great but help!

Grew these 2 plants with seeds purchased online (LA Confidential) pretty naturally. No nutrients and used water from my fish tank as the only fertilizer and used the LED light from the tank as a basic budget alternative to buying stuff before I decided if I wanted to stick with it. I did trim the plants a little before I started flowering but I am getting a lot of smaller buds in the middle of both plants. Is this normal? They have had flowers for 4 weeks today how much longer (approx) before I should harvest?

Not bad for what you had to work with...get it out under the sun as much as possible for the next 5 weeks...they need more light, not hours but power...g/l

Are you talking about the bud sites along the middle/main-stem going all the way up? That's normal. They look pretty good.

They should keep growing and filling up, you got some time still.

Trimming or defoliating from the bottom up.. basically forces the growth upwards.

Buds will grow from in between the nodes of the plant. (See a cannabis plant anatomy diagram)

Thanks I’ll try to get them some stronger light on them. I think I’m going to stick with it and get a better set up. Any recommendations for a small indoor grow space?

Thanks for the reply. Is it safe to trim some of the fan leaves at the bottom now? Would that help the flowers grow bigger?

Don't defoliate.
The plant isn't lush enough to lose any leaves.
Light and time. That's what it needs.
Google the strain. It's lanky like that.

That's one of the benefits, but I would not suggest you do that this late in flower. I was merely touching on your OP about you trimming before flower.
