First grow, going good so far??

This is my first "true" attempt at growing and so far Ive been doing well I believe.I Planted 9 of the dankest bag seeds I had saved up from the last year and planted them Jan 1.I'm down to 6, (some were males, and pulled a runt to make room) Today I decided to finaly post my progress on here to see what advice I can get to improve my crop. I have been pinching 2 of the taller girls in the back trying to delay having to put them into flower. Idk bad idea? I have a lack of space and not sure if I'm pushing it and should just throw them into flower. Haven't really ran into any problems other then a little heat stress at the begining, and some fungus knats but other then that its been pretty smooth sailing for my first grow. Tell me what you think any input is appreciated, thats why im putting this up. I have been using nutes but I'm not currently by them so Ill figure out what they are and get back to you later.

Hey guys ive continued pinching the girls in the back, as well as taller girl that is full of pistols. I also found out the nutes I've been using, Botanicare Pro Grow, and their Liquid Karma mix. Ive also been told the discoloring in the fan leaves in some of these is caused by a zinc or potassium deficiency, not sure what ill do to fix that but will be addressing that problem soon.

Hey guys know Ive been slacking but I haven't been posting to much on here until I find the time to do some safety work to my computer. The girls are lookin great, and some of the deficiency have lessened. Since the last time I updated I have continued pinching them, and today started lst'ing 2 of the taller girls. I also added a scrog cage, will be replacing it with a trellis net asap. Please let me know what you think and help me out new to this and any advice is highly appreciated. +rep for helps and comments.IMG_20110302_162253.jpgIMG_20110302_155655.jpgIMG_20110302_155559.jpgIMG_20110302_155626.jpgIMG_20110302_162645.jpgIMG_20110302_155537.jpgIMG_20110302_155706.jpgIMG_20110302_162258.jpgIMG_20110302_155636.jpgIMG_20110302_155711.jpgIMG_20110302_162635.jpgIMG_20110302_155548.jpgIMG_20110302_155605.jpgIMG_20110302_155643.jpgIMG_20110302_155618.jpg

Looking great. They should really fill that screen in well - and soon too by the looks of it. Should be a very successful first grow.

good looking plants, especially for your 1st "real" attempt.Let me ask a noob question...what do you mean by pinching their backs? I'm trying to gather enough info to try my 1st grow so I appreciate any help...

look at his first few videos of him pinching the Ak-47, its where I go my pinching style. If you do it right it will end up looking like the "Huge Ak" video he has in his library in the link I pasted here. But make sure you pinch the main stock until you get multiple main stocks going then you may pinch the new main stocks as well. I found this to work because my first time attempting to pinch I did it on fan leaves where it meets the stock, intending the fan leaf to develop into another main stock. Instead it only hurt the growth of the plant, but that plant is my most sensitive girl so it could just be that. Also make sure you pinch the flesh of the plant until it really pops the stock, if you don't, when you attempt to bend it over the stock will snap and everything about that will pretty much die.

I started to flower, things are lookin great. These girls are almost all the same height now from lst'ing the tall girls. I had a quetion for anyone who is a hydroponic grower. My tent will be moved to a new location after this harvest, and I will be making the switch to hydroponic because I will not have the space to pull out multiple 5 gallon buckets to water. What I will be looking to do is have a florescent tent going with clones in soil, that I pull out and throw into something like this in my current tent you see here: http://www.igrowhydro.com/MegaFarm-Drip-System.aspx, and I would top/pinch one giant plant under my 400 watt light. From people with more experience then me do you think it would be more beneficial to have a multiple site hydroponic set up rather then just 1? Maybe something more like this: http://www.igrowhydro.com/Aero-Machine-9.aspx, I am not sure which one I would reach larger harvest with. Also would I need to have my clones in a hydroponic setup from the start rather then soil then transfer to hydro? maybe this: http://www.igrowhydro.com/MicroGarden-Drip.aspx ? Any advice is appreciated, I am a total noob at hydro

I'm not so sure it's a good idea to try transplanting from soil to hydro. Start them in rockwool or rapid rooters instead. Your plants are looking great, by the way! +rep, nice job!
