First Grow = First Harvest - Need some experts

Okay, so I'm growing the norther light auto-strain and the bubbleicious auto-strain. I'm growing these for 2 reasons.

1. Noob.
2. Moving from the US to Germany in a couple months and I needed something to grow fast.

Anyways, I had issues with my Northern Lights from the beginning. I had them in Coco Fior without realizing the soil didn't have any nutrients so they got nothing for 3-4 weeks, and I had some additional small nutrient and over-watering issues.

While my bubblecious was in Fox Farm ocean forest, and is just growing like crazy (in my opinion), they have only gotten grow nutrients once, and that was a couple days ago. So I've already learned from my mistakes.

From the pictures you can see my bubbleicious is taking over, compared to northern lights. So I need the room.

I've been reading the best time to harvest is when the tricomes look milky. Well, the top cola on two of my plants look like a 50/50 mix, but the ones below are just white.

My questions are.
1.) What are your predictions on ETA - remember this is an auto-flower.
2.) If the top cola is ready to harvest can that just be plucked while the others grow?

I planted the Northern Lights (silly me didn't write down the date, but I bought the seeds from Nirvana on 1-31-2015 so I probably got them and planted them the second week in February)

Bubblecious which is irrelevant to my question was purchased 2-26-2015 so those were planted like the second week in March.

I am in the very same boat with you and my buds are looking the same as yours!. Mine are same size and color. I did not right down the dates either as this was my first grow and I made some mistakes same as u. I have 3 fast and vast autos under 2 300watt mars hydro leds in a 2x4x5 tent. I would really like someone to answer your ? so I can get a general idea on mine as well. I bought mine and planted about the same dates as u.

your no where near flower end... but your trichomes should be milky white with 20% amber you shouldn't see clear or glassy trichromes...

also some strains are laggers and take up to 2 weeks to start flowering once switched to 12/12 meaning sometimes they are more like 11 or 12 week strains

Do you think my girls are ready for harvest?
heck no your still a good month out.. you really aren't going to look at them and say yep they are ready.... you need to scope your trichromes.. even if you know its a 8 week sometimes they can finish later or sooner... but you don't want to harvest early your trichromes haven't even matured yet to be potent and flavorful
