Hey Everybody!!

This is my First Ever Grow.

I'm have(at my disposal): apprx 1.5'X1.5'X4'
ductape and mylar
26 Watt CFLs 6500K
42 CFLs 2500K
1 Clone
bag of miricale grow potting soil, pH adjusted 6.0-6.8
MG all purp plant food
MG Strater food for cuttings/ small starters/ transplants

Clone is currently in about a 12oz soild color dixie cup. Plant is coverd by a sandwich bag for humidty and is under 8 of the 26 Watters for 18on/6off.

Just started Yesterday!! It didn't get the root starter cause I just got that tonight, but I will start it tomorrow later. I had given it some very diluted nute mix yesterday at transplant then a little water later, and this past day for its reg water.

Not sure how much of everything I should be giving it at this point. I have tap water out tonight to get out Cl so I can use it with the root stuff tom.

I'll post pics tomorrow.

So how does it sound so far?

All Comments are Appreciated, especially helpful ones.

Well I had all 8 and it was getting to about 90F. But that was before I set my intake fan.

Now I have both Out and In flow and its able to cool off better. I did this just before they turned out for a 6 hour rest.

I since then raised one set of 4 lights a little and set them back on time.

We'll see what happens tomorrow!!

I'll have pics then.

Not sure what moe is... But I don't think I have a hydro store near by. At least I have no clue where it is. I've read some people using it and they seemed to ok results. It is my first grow so I mostly wanna get the feel for it.

So you don't think I should even give it that root stimulater? It says to feed it that only every 7 days

I just did a search and found my local hydro store, think I'm going to go check it out today.
I think I'm guna stick it out with the MG this time though(me just learning and all), then maybe next time I'll head over there and get some good stuff to produce some really good stuff instead of just a mid grade strain.

Alright. SO I found that Hydro Store. They Had all the good stuff.

Fox Farms, and other good soil/ferts.
Also had starter boxes with humidity domes.

I didn't buy anything I'm gunna stick with what I have for now. Next time I'll hit it up for sure!!:joint::hump:

I decided to use less 6 26 Watt CFL 6500K for veg cause It's been getting way to hot in there.

Right now I just have 3 on for the cloning. 1 by the cup to heat soil, 1 by the plant itself and 1 off to the side a little(all on one strip, then 3 more on the other strip for later).

I have some MG Quick start root stimulater but not sure if I should use it yet or if I should wait a few more days til the clone gets better settled.

Tell me what ya think.

Alright.

So things are looking ok so far. The clone has some droopy leaves but its all still green for the most part, other than the nute burn it got in the begining:(

Some of the bigger leaves I realized were too big(after reading more on here). I decided to trim them a little like I saw done here.
Hopefully that helps a little.

Other than that my box has been staying at about 80F with 3 lights on the plant for now. and about 40-45% Humidity.

I'm going to need another comp fan soon (intake or outtake not sure) to help circulation, because it gets closer to 90F when all 6 lights are on.

I was also thinking I might instead get a little 3-5 inch oscillating fan and put it inside to get things circulating more. might help push out excess heat.
Give me your thoughts on the matter

I need Help!

So I've had my clone going for about a week now.

It has new leaves growing, but I don't know how to tell if roots are sprouting out of the bottom or not.

How will I know? I've heard that when you can see roots out the holes at the bottom it's time to transplant, but what if they don't poke through? How will I know?

Other than not knowing this things are going good. Like I said there is a new node starting with fresh little leaves popping out. I'm guessing thats a good sign. haha.

New growth is always a good sign....With the roots coming through the bottom it depends on how airy your soil is...Did you use perlite or anything like that....The roots might have a hard time if not....When i noticed my roots were growing in the drainage holes it was too late...

Oh ok. Well I do have perlite mixed in. I also gave it some MG QuickStart today. it's a stimulent for clones. Supposed to help the roots get going and all that jazz.

the leaves that were on the cutting when I cut it, are looking a little light green/green yellow. They also curl under a little bit. they seem dry or something.

But the new sprouts, and theres at least 3 already, are rich dark green and perky. so I don't know If I should cut those dying leaves or leave them on and nurse it to health.

surf88 would like to see how our boxes differ as we have the same set up.except i started from seed.and i only use 4 100w cfls.also my brand of fertalizer is peters all purpose plant food for veg and flowering. by the way i would use a lil of the root starter and hold off on all other nutes.it cant handle it yet also if you think the mg is making your plant droopy try adding some calcium to it.you can pick some up at a pet store (its for reptiles but it works great). or you could crush up a tums and put it in a clean sock tie it off and throw it in some watter let it sit for 24hrs and then spray your soil with it not the plant it will leave white marks on it and will take for ever to get off trust me i know.but the calcium really seems to help my plant when it looks a little ill from feeding.give it a try or dont. just a sugestion.

Yea I may try that after i start giving it plant food.

Right now it looks real good. I didn't water for a day, then I watered it the next day after with water that had some Hydrogen Peroxide mixed in.

1tsp peroxide with 2cups of water.

The next day she was very perky! I didnt water that day.
Then Yesterday, she was very very perky and greener than ever before!! all the brownish tips had turned green all the way through!

So i think i was just over watering before. now i'm guna water every 2 days.
:bigjoint:
I watered her today with same peroxide water mix and plan to start nutes.

I need to start a new thread asking about MG All Purpose Plant Food.

Thanks for the calcium suggestion!

np man you have helped me out a little.just tryin to return the favor
So how much Calcium do you use? I'm going to get some more distilled water and other needed supplies and plan to pick some up.

but if I go to say... Petsmart, and pick up for reptiles, how much should I mix with water?

I think I gave it too much on my last watering, a full 2 cups for the 1 plant.:wall:

i let it dry all the way so today is the day for water. but the tips turned brown again and its slouching:(
