Hows it goin? Im new to botany but have decided to give this a go. It is my first grow attempt and I'm starting with a Sensi Star clone from a friend. He said the plant was a week or 2 into flowering when he cut the clone off so its in the process of returning to a vegetative state. i plan on going 18(on)/6 in 2-3 weeks. Right now i have 2 75w equivalent bulbs that are a little "whiter". and when it flowers I'll switch to 2 100w equivalent bulbs that emit a more yellow light. any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. now for the goods

Very nice try to use a bigger pot and more light closer to the plant it will produce better I would look for a 125watts CFL 2700K for the flowering stage with some help from smaller ones

thanks for the input! im all into cars and whatnot and I assume 2700K refers to the kelvin scale like high intensity discharge lights in cars..and 2700 would be pretty yellow, so it makes sense. I'm going to suspend the lights before it goes into flowering.

whats the temp in there?
you need to regulate temperature and humidity

for sure. The temperature stays between 70-75F. My fan stopped working after like 4 hours so the door is open for now. its difficult to regulate humidity in my apartment but it constantly stays around 40%. now thats just on my apartments thermostat. it'd probably be a good idea to pick up something to measure humidity directly inside the box. thanks

after doing some reading, im wondering if i should be misting my girl. i have only been watering it every other day and it has been pretty healthy.. but ive been reading that clones react well to being misted every day. this obviously depends on how much water i mist, i know. just wondering what i should be doing...I've read thru 5 or 6 100+ page grow journals and my level of envy is through the roof right now. lol i want to catch up! thanks in advance guys :bigjoint:

Just a little update. It looks like shes liking her new home. we (my friend and I) finally got a working fan in.

It should need watering tonight or in the morning and it'll be the first nutes given to the plant. We're using a mix containing Snow storm, loranova, and super thrive. this first feeding is pretty diluted...mostly distilled water with a little of the nutrient mix. we'll see how it goes. We'll also start training the plant this weekend. pics for your click

update:

Transplanted about 4 days ago and all is well....VERY well! she likes the bigger pot a lot and Im impressed with the amount of growth the past couple of days. we've started training her and its reacting well to that as well. some leaves were starting to curl up...can the light being too close to the plant cause this? anyway, here are some pics. the pictured nug is some "blueberry"

Im always a skeptic with names and such but this has an amazing taste  Im not sure about the high because I was already blazed when I smoked it last night. the wake & bake will f me up, im sure. :-o

if the leaves are curling try giving it a very light mist, this will also help to leach the plant a little. Be careful not to mist to much, or when the lights are on.

I appreciate the advice. I took it. Decided to switch to an 18 on / 6 off cycle that lets me spray her down a little bit. When she woke up this morning, the soil felt a little dry so I gave her some water - no nutes. I snapped a couple quick pics while I had the chance.

The new growth looks pretty healthy, so right now, I'm happy. Especially since I got some more of that blueberry :blsmoke:

Just got done feeding. and all in all, things are good. I am finding little tiny bugs with tiny wings (gnats?) crawling out of the bottom of the soil. but other than that, the new growth looks awesome.

the pictured nug is some no-name stuff. Really fire, just doesnt taste as good as the blueberry from before. If i can produce this kind of stuff, I'll be ecstatic.

looking for a solution to these damn gnats. I Got a hotshot wand or whatever but am sketched out by the "The state of california recognizes that this product contains ingredients that cause cancer" warning. so now theres some sand on top of the soil. The new growth looks great and I cant wait to flower. (weeks away still, obviously)

well damn. the training has taken off. she is growingggg like crazy! I added two more lights and i know thats really helping. 100w equivalent 5000k CFLs. The gnat problem has diminished greatly since adding the sand and leaving a hot shot stick in there a few hours a day. In a couple days we'll retrain her around the rest of the pot and we'll be flowering in about 2 weeks  couldnt be happier.

I also helped my friend clip his 2 sensi stars, one being this clones mama. and wow..so sticky...so smelly. the sample nug got me ripped. on to the pics

Just got a tent... 2 x 4 x 5'3''. $100 shipped, decent quality. the tent is now in the closet and its staying a couple degrees cooler. as its getting warmer here, the temp inside our place is around 76 F, and average temp inside the tent is 78-79 when the lights are on. im happy. Shes taking off now after she was re-trained. Shes obviously needing to eat a lot more and I havent given her what she wants. She gets more and more nutes with each feeding but I guess it hasnt been enough - shes lacking some nitrogen. but it will be all good.

the pictured nug is some Sour Kush. super smelly, great taste, awesome high. :leaf:

its been a long time since ive updated and no one replies anyway but heres an update. she loves life and i love her. Shes about 5 weeks into flower, getting botnicare pro bloom and Humboldt counties SnowStorm ultra. Im loving the crystal build up on the colas. :) Ive learned so much and I love this stuff. I got 2 Northern Lights clones off my buddy to have another harvest about 5 weeks after the Sensi star. I'm throwing them in flower this friday, putting them to sleep tonight for 36 hours. I cant wait to harvest! on to the pics 100_0220.jpg100_0222.jpg100_0223.jpg100_0217.jpg100_0216.jpg100_0218.jpg100_0221.jpg100_0219.jpg
