First Grow. Blue Mystique & Bubblelicious (Auto)

Wow, I didn't know light leaks could cause root rot. I just learned somethings following your journal. Is it light leaks during the dark period?

I'm talking about light leaks when lights are on. Light leaking into your res will allow algae to grow which will, given enough time of exposure to your roots, cause root rot. It just makes the water not a healthy environment I think. I caught it very early on. I found that my light leak was from the holes where my clear air tubes entered the bucket and from the lid and from the hydroton since I have very small net pots. Once I fixed ALL of the light leaks and changed the water the algae never returned.

I use a dark grey 5 gallon bucket from lowe's.

UPDATE:
After two days of using hydrogen peroxide, my root rot has gone away. Roots are looking whiter then ever. After chaning my light cycle to 12/12, my plants have started to bud. Emailed Nirvana about the problem and all they said was,

I am pretty sure that the seeds you received are autoflowering, but I must admit that they take
longer to start flowering than we initially thought.... Instead of 6 to 8 weeks, it might take 9 weeks
or even longer. I am happy to hear that they started flowering in the mean time, but I think they
would have started flowering by them selves as well.

I still don't believe that the plants are autoflowering. This mistake forced my to grow my other 3 plants using cfl lights. Only the Blue Mystic has started to flower. The BB still have not shown sex. Hopefully, they are not autoflowering so i am able to stick them in my tent to flower them.
My plants inside are 39 days old, my plants outside are 50 days old.

UPDATE:
2 of my BB have really droopy plants. My friend that was suppose to take care of them filled the reservoir all the way to the top. Overwater the shit out of the plants. Will post pictures when they get better.

hey,nice work. im glad you recovered from that rot.
like someone else mentioned, Nirvana's auto BB seems to be bogus. My girl has been under 16/8 for 8weeks now and has only shown pre flowers!
she just went 12/12 yesterday
hope both of ours start to produce soon.

so i might loose one plant. One of the BB just started to droop like crazy. Will keep you guys updated.

UPDATE:
So finally know what went wrong. While I was gone, the temperature went up to 106 F. My plants went into shock. As of right now, i am on damage control. Will report with what happens. Just in case, I'm going to plant 5 other Blue Mystic and some NYPD.

UPDATE:
My plants are doing better. The leafs at the bottom seemed to be recovering. Will keep posting updates. Hopefully they wont die.

UPDATE:
Two of my plants died, my BB and Blue Mystic The cause of death was heat stress. When i was back home, my temperatures went over 100 F. When i finally got back, it was to late. Most of the leafs were dried up and falling off the plants. I was able to save me other two BB. You can't really tell in the pictures how fucked up they were, but two days ago all the leafs were curling down and falling off. I though i was going to loose all my plants. My Blue Mystic is doing great. Its in full flowering mode. I tried to get a good pictures of the plant, but it does not show the crystals the the leafs has. The leafs are starting to get little crystals and the smell can only be describe as dank. The other two BB are doing great. They are looking like little Christmas trees. My two big BB are 63 days old and my other two BB and Blue Mystic are 47 days old.
If you have Nirvanas Auto BB, switch to 12/12 to start flowering. They are not true auto flowering plants.

you got root rot on that one in the first pic, you might be able to save it with some h2o2. reinse the roots completely & clean the rez. you probably already know that but I figure it wouldn't hurt ot mention it. I lost a lot of plants to that crud before I found out what it was.

Thanks man. I already started doing that. My plan is to wait for more roots to grow, then cut the infected roots.

UPDATE:
So i have a bunch of new roots. I cut the infected roots off and sprayed a shit load of hydrogen peroxide. Will keep you updated on the condition of the plant.
