Welcome to my first grow fellow potsmokers :leaf::bigjoint:

Background: :leaf::leaf: Me and my partner in crime started with 7 bagseeds at his house planning on germinating all of them, but unfortunately we lost 3 of the seeds and from the other 4 only 2 germinated. I am a so to say complete newbie to growing cannabis but I have spent hours and hours reading threads, books, guides, etc. on how to grow so I like to believe I am very well prepared.:leaf::leaf:

Set up:
Soil: Ferti Lome Ultimate potting mix (for now, getting FF Ocean ltr)
Seeds: 4x Bagseed. The bag they came from had really dank bud but it was filled with seeds. Hopefully not a Hermie plant
Lights: started sprouts with 2x 23 watt 6500k daylight, added another 2 a couple days later and adding more as needed.
Location: Friends Closet
Nutrients: Fox Farms Tri nutes
Temp/Hum control: Can change both with air conditioning to my will. My temperature is always 69-81 and humidity is 31-37
Names: for now 1 (Aka Mary) and 2 (aka Jane).

Day 1 (Aug 4th, 10pm): Put 4 seeds in shotglass with bottled water *hope arrowhead water is good for germinating*

Day 2 (Aug 5th, 10am): Moved seeds on a plate between two sheets wetted with distilled water and under a bowl

Day 3 (Aug 6th at night): 2 of the seeds show roots. Gonna let them grow more overnight.

Day 4 (Aug 7th, 10.30 am): Planted 2 seeds in red party cups *I think soil might be a tad too moist, but never really watered plants before soo...*

Day 5 (Aug 8th, 2 pm): Started 16/8 Cycle (on at 8a off at 12p) with 2x CFL. pH for both aprox 7. Humidity: aprox 34 %. Temp: right now at 78
(Aug 8th, 8.30 pm): *I See them!!!. 2 seems more developed* -Pic 1 * Mary is one the left and Jane on the right
D5.jpg

Day 6 (Aug 9th, 8.20 am): *Jane is standing up aprox 1/2 in -pic 1. Mary showing leaves but bent over - pic 2
D6, 2 (2).jpgD6, 1.jpg
(Aug 9th, 6 pm): *Mary is reaching for the sky! -still small and weak looking tho but thats ok, i have faith in her!*
D6, 1 night.jpg
(Aug 9th, 8 pm): Mary is about 1/2 in, Jane 1 in

Day 7 (Aug 10th, 10.30 am): Lights 3 in from Jane and 4 from Mary. Mary= 1in Jane= 1 1/4 in
D7.jpg -*Should i be paying attention to stem color differances? (Mary=brown. Jane=purple red ish)

(Aug 10th, 2.50 pm): Just built new seedling box/area with +2 CFL - still needs mylar tho which ill be getting in the next few days (where do you find mylar?) *My babys are going to love ther new home *
D7 night (2).jpg

Day 8 (Aug 11th, 10 am): Watered with pH 6 water cuz pH was too high. *Mary= showing kind of odd growth but not too shabby. Jane= True leaves are coming in great! :weed:*. both of their pH level is 7 now
pic 1=Mary. pic 2= Jane. pic 3= Mary Jane (Jane is on the left now)
D8,1.jpgD8,2.jpgD8.jpg

Ill be updating this thread pretty much daily as i spend half of my day looking at the plants anyways haha :bigjoint:

PS: Feedback is more then welcome!

Looking good! Dont worry about the different color. Alot of times when the stems are stretching for the light they will take on that color. Id say bring your lites in a little closer.1-2 inches. Good luck

Mine started out today with that purple reddish color, but as of now, they are light green. They broke ground this morning, 3 beautiful little babies. Though one has 3 sun leaves and 3 fan leaves to start with. Never seen that before, lol. Heres a pic.

I just found out that due to my little mutation, I will end up growing 3 top leaves and 3 branches at every node, increasing my yield (if female) by a 1/3!!! SWEET
Sorry, had to brag!

Day 9 (Aug 12th, 11.50 am): Mary and Jane are both showing the start of their 2nd set of true leaves . Unfortunately the temperatures went up to 87 last night and this morning because my friend closed the closet, but neither of the littles are showing any signs of being shocked by the unexpected rise in temp. Mary= about 1 inch tall, Jane= almost 1 1/2 in

I actually wrote someting in the seed and strain reviews about bagseed and how it could be a fantastic adventure in discovery. Im also very pleased to see how you unashamedly are using CFLs. Right now i am getting ready to harvest 30 bagseed plants i grew outdoors. I started with ovee 70 seeds, 56 sprouted, some died, a few were pulled, and a bunch were male. I have so many different varieties in my garden, all from just a couple of bags. I have ISH a grow journal in the outdoor grow section called Outdoor Experiment.

Ill be keeping an eye on this thread to see how everything works out for you. In november i will be doing my first complete indoor grow with CFLs, T5 and T12 lamps. I will also be keeping a journal on that as well.

Can you give a rundown of your light systems?
How many bulbs, whats the color temp, whats the wattage, etc...

Good luck.

Nice dude you should definately hit me up with how much you get from those 30 sexy ladies :weed:

Yeah i believe that you can definitely grow some dank bud with enough lumens and a lot of love. When I get enough extra cash, im most likely going to buy a HPS light system and a conversion MH light tho (heat is a issue tho so i dont know if i could still control the environment).

Well right now i have four 23 watt 1600 lumen 6500k (Daylight) bulbs, and im most likely gonna buy another 4 in a few weeks for the rest of vegetation. When I start flowering im just gonna buy like 10x 23 watt 2700k (soft white). You don't actually have to have as many lights as I do, I just wanna maximize yield.

Yeah dude I think your gonna like indoor growing, Its way easier to make your environment optimum for growing cannabis, which ensues in really dank bud! bongsmilie

Im looking forward to it too. I have to run a new line from the breaker box to my grow room and figure out how to get the area ventilated without cutting a bunch of holes in the wall. I have a bunch of lights ready to go and the cabinets all built, ready to be installed this fall. It will be bagseed as well.

In my bagseed grow, my favorite plant is the only one with pink flowers. There are at least 4 different strains going on in those plants and a couple of sativa doms. I am really hoping for 3 lbs. All personal. I cloned the last male before i killed it. I am tempted to polinate a couple of buds to get seeds but i just cant bring myself to do that. I already have enough seeds for the winter indoor grow and possibly for next summer's outdoor grow.
What do you think? Should i make my own seeds or keep it completely virginal?

Are the cabinet doors gonna be open or closed? U got any pics of your design?

3 lbs will be a very nice personal sac! haha. I suggest that you take a two clones from each of the strains (1 female 1 male) and then keep them going in a vegetative room until after you harvest and cure. After you harvest remember to keep all the different kinds of weed in separate bags, smoke a joint of all of them and then pollinate the 2 strains that got you the most fucked up :grin:bongsmilie

Hey T, I'm about the same stage you are with your little girls. Planted germ'd seeds a couple days ago (didn't break the surface yet). You know, i don't know that the temp is as important as ventilation. Sure, a lot of excess heat is not good, but I've never had too many problems with mid 80s temps (occasionally 90's). Due to the location of my grow area (and my desire to do this cheaply with minimal effort), i don't have the ability to cool the plants. They stay relatively healthy considering...
You said you have the ability to maintain temps and humidity, but you don't show any fans in your setup. How are you moving the air? Are you just leaving the door cracked or what? Your biggest enemy imo is going to be mold once those babies get big...

Yeah i didn't think 87 would do jack, it was just one of those parent instincts making me worry haha (temps hadn't gone above 81 so far). Plus since I don't have an HID lamp, yield is gonna be considerably smaller so im trying to give my plants optimum conditions so the bud that i do get will be really dank.

Well the house I grow in has air conditioning with temp and humidity controls but I also have a box fan on always when lights are on to supply fresh Co2 and to balance out the heat of the lamps (my setup actually worked out very conveniently, the vent for air conditioning blows all the cold air straight to where my box fan is and the fan supplies the plants with constant cool air). I can definitely upload more pics of my setup if your curious?

well, better luck to you bro. I only had two seeds sprout... I have grown both for 6 weeks total growth and.. one hermied on me. Not really sure on my other one. I think I might have a chance on getting a female. Cause it looks nothing like the male one did. I mean this one has actual little hairs coming out of the pods. :D I'm gonna call her betsy.

Any how. good luck man.

Yeah dude I was thinking 1/4 chance both are female, 1/2 one female and 1/4 both male, but then i remembered hermies soo.... that would suck ass if neither of the plants would be female!

I have my fingers crossed for you man!

Good luck Greensister, I hope you get mad lbs out of that outdoor grow. Moving indoors has its perks, Id really like to set up an hps system as well, but Im gonna have to put that off for a while. Buying a house in the spring, so Ill be able to do whatever the hell I want, which mean..GROW ROOM. lol.

Tamuuli, you got it going on! You should have a good grow, its all about the lights and water. When it comes to nutes and stuff I feel they can help your potency and yeild, but hey, it is after all just a weed, so it will grow and due what its genetics tell it to do.

I have a large entertainment center that i converted into a grow cabinet by lining it with white styrofoam and adding light sockets the sides and tops. It will be housing a 55W CFL 5000k, two 45 W CFLs 5000k, and two 23 W CFLs 2700k for the vegging area. Under it is a cabinet that has two 2 foot T12 5000k Lamps for cloning and seed sprouting.

The Flower area has four 2 foot T5 lamps 3000k, two 45 W CFLs 2700k, and two 23W CFL 5600k.

The house that we bought 2 years ago has a nice little root cellar in the basement which i am turing into a grow room. The whole area is 4x8x8 and the flower area (4x4x8) is lined with reflective insulation. Again, this wont up up and running till November so taking clones from this grow wont be an option, other than the on male that has reverted back to its veg state, but hasnt rooted yet.

My soil mix is 25% perlite, 35% compost, 15% contractor sand, 25% worm castings. That has been sitting for about a month, covered in a large tub and sitting a a cool, dark place to cure.

How is the drying coming along and are you going to cure your buds before you toke up royal? I know that as it dries youll be sampling it. Please let us know how it smokes. Im so glad to see people are taking an interest in CFLs and Bagseed. Now if only the entire US would accept this plant for what it is and not what the powers that be have lied about to deamonize it.

Ill be posting pics of my grow as soon as i pick up an SD card reader in my Outdoor Experiment grow journal thread. Its not as impressive as some of the others ive seen, but its good enough for me and so far the best grow ive ever had. I just wish i had heard of LST back in May.

Thanks man. Yeah dude those are very important factors, but i would also like to add pH. And to make the grow even better, i have very good nutes too .

Dude that sounds like a very sufficient grow room, well done! In november are you gonna have the cabinet and the entertaining center as grow rooms? How many plants are you planning on growing? Well since you can't clone, i do suggest that you take aside a the best male and the second best female (so you can smoke the best :bigjoint:) and pollinate the female. Remember to have that area completely sealed off and to change your clothes right after you do (I just finished reading a journal where after he harvested he found like 10 seeds in his lady because he had pollinated another female and didn't change his clothes so the pollen had travelled on his clothes).

Nice that sounds like a perfect soil mix to grow your babys

Yeah dude! fuck! I feel like im the only fucking one who understands the beauty of woodstock. a half a fucking million people all living together on a piece of land with out any dry clothes or food! No crime what so ever! that was it, Marijuana and love for the world took over all our human greed, barbaricness, etc. This is how the whole world should live today, in peace!

Yeah guys, how do you feel about LST? i know you can get way more colas, etc but ive also heard of situations where it lowered yield?

Day 10 (Aug 13th, 11.13 am): So i was talking about growing to a friend of mine and he suggested watering until runoff comes, so I tried it but turns out he was wrong (im figuring he meant when the plant is older?), both of the plants true leaves are very droopy now, so I came to the conclusion that I overwatered. pic1= Mary(shes not as yellow as she looks tho), pic2= Jane.
D10, 1.jpgD10, 2.jpg

Also you guys got any name suggestions yet? I think im gonna wait longer to see how they grow and then name them by their characteristics before I change their names tho.
