Managed to get my plant to this stage, flowering since the mid of november, the buds are about 75% amber, am i right in thinking that when there complete amber, i can cut her down and hang her to dry? Can anyone recommend the best way of drying? IS it as simple as hanging in a dark cupboard or box?

Dude, most people harvest at max 25% amber - I'd have chopped a while ago.
You can dry anywhere thats somewhat cool & dark. Make sure you have a fan to gently circulate the air.

this is his first time, he probably means the white hairs turned amber, have you checked it with a microscope?

Yea, white hairs are amber, 90% now. I'm flushing her this week and will cut down next week. 2 weeks in a cupboard enough?

I just had to harvest 3 of my plants early because they started to get powdery mildew.I found this post on a bud dryer and i built one similar and it is working great.Drying the bud just right, not to fast. And the humidity in the container is perfect.I still have a Blueberry X Hawgsbreath that is on it 7th week today.I took some of the small buds from the bottom of the blueberry and dried them in the container.I smoked some last night and it tasted real good and i didnt even cure it yet.The guy who posted it know his shit.I would suggest to anybody growing to build one of these because waiting an extra 10 days for nothing just sucks.
