First grow. 600w or 1000w?

I finally have my grow room set up for the most part, all i need is a tarp for the floor and to seperate my veg and flower room and a flower light and im good!

dimensions veg - 4x3x8
flower - 4x6x8

In the flowering room should i get a 600w hps or 1000w hps?

the only exhaust fan i have is a 495 cfm squirrel cage blower wit 4" duct

please ask any questions or give me any other suggestions you have!bongsmilie

ok so i bought a 600watt hps system today for 175 on craigslist. it has 8 inch air cooled ducts. would it be ok to hook a reducer up to my 4" blower fan and hook it up to the 8 inch hood? or should i just let the fan suck air freely from the room?:confused:

Firstly, nice find on craigslist! Sucking freely from the room is not a big deal, as long as the room has a passive intake so that it can get new air in. Oh and from past experience, if your hood has a glass screen, don't take it off to get more airflow, it just makes the room hotter. good luck!:peace:

it was a nice find, i was very happy got 2 bulbs also :) but no glass on the hood.
and i have a wall ac unit in the room on the other side of the styrofoam wall i am going to turn on and have a small little two fan thing sittin on the floor with some holes for intake
yay cant wait for the rest of my stuff to come in the mail! should have plants up by wenesday i will make a journal
