I think bonemeal works on pot. Ide either put in a tablespoon per gallon of soil or ide crush it up and add it to your water. This depends on weather or not you are going to get bloom nutes though. If so you are prolly fine without the bonemeal.

I love that you are measuring your water lol. I started watering with a big ass syringe so I could monitor just how much they were getting. I think I was giving sprouts 25-30ml a day and then slowly upped that as they grew.

This is looking great man, I love that we germinated so close and that we're using "essentially" the same methods. It's nice to be able to compare grows like this. It seems like I learn something new everyday whether I'm on here reading or tending to the ladies. Its such an exciting process, I'm so hooked.
Funny that Gastanker mentioned measuring water, I've been doing the same thing. I didn't realize how crucial and exact watering needs be. I see it over and over again; new growers stressed about overwatering. Having a moisture meter is definitely nice, and while it isn't always sure-fire, it definitely gives you a little more to go by and less stress is always better. It's crazy how concerned I get over stressing my plants. It's always comforting to tell myself though, that these are in fact WEEDS and they have adapted pretty well to growing in all sorts of conditions.

If anyone is interested in checking out my cfl grow, KB was kind enough to let me post my link here:

As KB says.. Spread the CFL Groove thang! It can and will grow some amazing buds :)

OK guys, sorry its been a while on an update, and this isnt an official one yet. Oh and btw, was RIU down for a couple days or was it just me?

My babies are not looking very good at all. A few of them are shriveled up and turning brown, the largest is very yellow with some crispyness to it. Most of the new growth looks pretty green, although some new growth is very light green almost yellow.

Since this was bagseed I think I will start over unless I can get a few of these babies to really turn around. Its been 3 weeks and the largest is only 2.5 inches tall with the smallest being about 1 inch.

A friend of mine will be donating an old grown cab of his in the form of an old refrigerator to me this weekend. My plan is to get it setup in the garage so that ventilation and heat should be MUCH less of an issue and more controllable than my practically sealed closet. I may get some pics of the plants up soon, if they start to turn around or if I decide to do away with them.

If I do start over in the fridge I will begin a new post.
Let me know if you guys have any initial ideas on a fridge setup, or have any useful links. Ive done a little searching and it seems a lot of people have had great success using a fridge.

Thanks guys

Hey... Sorry to hear about your plants.... are you sure it is excessive heat? sounds to me as a lack o nutes maybe... If you are using a very small pot it is possible. Yea i heard that fridges work great... and riu was down for some time the last 2 days! hahah good luck with them anyway...

Well, its official guys. I pulled the plug today on the lights. Most of my poor little gals were all curled over and brown/yellow, and the largest ones (only 2-3 inches tall after 3 weeks) had lost all but 2 or 3 of their leaves.

I will be picking up the refrigerator tomorrow, it has already been grown in and has some ventilation holes cut so I am very excited to start setting it up for myself. I feel that the heat, CO2 and ventilation will be MUCH easier to control with this setup. As long as my garage stays below 85 in the summer it should be all good. If not we will rig something up to cool air being pulled in by the intake fan.

I have learned my lesson on watering and will be paying much closer attention next time around. I also learned that the $25 6" inline fan I bought makes a GREAT intake fan but a poor exhaust fan. Simply because with a carbon filter on it the power is reduced by I bet 90%. I will be picking up a decent bathroom exhaust fan recommended by a friend that runs super quiet from Home Depot.

As soon as I start getting thins setup I will create another post and get some pics going. I may take some pics of my girls after I uproot them tonight, if not this will be my last most till the new thread starts.

Thanks for hangin in there with me guys, I hope to see everyone in my new thread when it gets started. Also all of your threads are doing AWESOME, I need to log on more often so I have time to post and not just look.

Peace for now

OK, I just wanted to make a quick post to bump this thread back up for anyone who was following it.

I have my fridge setup in the garage with a 175w metal halide and some CFLs right now. I have 8 seeds planted in Jiffy pellets. At lunch when I went home 2 of the 8 had sprouted already.

I will get some pictures together and start a new thread hopefully tonight, then I will make another post here with the link. This time around should be much easier and fun, since I can now check on my babies anytime I want any not worry about waking my wife up.

Thanks for the support & comradery thus far :)

Haha you said it man, I didnt even plan it that way it just kinda worked out. The seeds were actually ready to be planted about a day or 2 before I was ready to plant them so that made things interesting.

Well anyways, I officially got my new thread up, pics & all so come one come all & bring all the good vibes and positive thoughts you can muster :) See ya there!!
