First Closet Grow - Northern Lights on CFLs

hey guys, been reading on the forums off and on the past few months, finally got some seeds to get this party started. We're looking at a small side of my closet that is approximately 7 sq ft. that area will be the main flower area ( I plan on using the top shelf to veg clones later on ). I plan on having 12 cfls over 8-10 plants depending on how many germinate. They are all 26 Watt, i dont have them all but there will be 3-4 3200k and 8-9 6500K. So its about 3000 lumens per sq ft.

Today around noon i got my seeds in the mail so i got started right away and did the paper towel method. Its just laying on my computer which is turned on now. the seeds are Northern Lights. hope to get at least 5 females.

just as an update. there is also one additional seed thats trainwreck from bagseed. anybody advice and comments are appreciated.

So after 3 full days, 9 of 10 NL seeds germinated, the trainwreck seed didnt but im putting those in soil just in case they are late which TW definitely is.

I bought some red cups today and filled each with 3-4 parts Scotts premium which i hear is a good soil if you cant get your hands on FFOF. I also mixed 1 part of MG perlite in there.

So as to light. They are under 4 - 26W CFLs. should they even be turned on right now since i just put them i soil? I know they CAN, but do they need it right away? Any suggestions on what to do for lighting would be awesome. thanks for reading.

i always started mine on the window seal and once they broke surface then i put them under the light

but it dosnt hurt to have them under the light cuz once they do break surface they will want it right away

and its just 4 cfls so its not like its killing your electricity bill lol

yes, finally someone is posting haha thanks man, i appreciate it. yea i figured hell its only 4 so i just leave them on except for nights because my door is cracked open at the moment. window was a though but this is an apartment so im being cautious.

Mine are yet to break ground as well and I have mine under lights... Our grows will be able the same age since I just put mine in soil yesterday.
