Are you sure about this? If it is true i WANT some of my plants light stressed!.... lol jk
Should be true right? Like the mother's gametes regardless of making pollen sacks should be XX and I polinated another female - an XX. So I don't see how the seeds could come out male. But I guess I wont know for sure till I plant the seeds :)

cool cfl grow mate. good work with your LST. should increase the yeild nicely for you.
Thanks man! GOing to try and LST that one into a circle. Should look pretty cool - Saw another guy do it but it turned out a male and we didn't get to see the end results.

Took 4 plants to my buddies today - he was very thankful and gave me 1/2 oz in return. Very nice guy.

The tallest of my plants - no picture - is stuck in a corner that is now getting way too hot. Def showing heat stress but there's nothing I can really do about it (nothing i'm willing to do).

The wierd clone with 3 leaves/shoots per node was hitting the 1 foot mark which breaks my limit. I kind of think it was going to break the limit of my grow space as well - So I cut its head off. Poor plant. Cut the head off and stuck it in a pot. Hopefully it will be good and root - I'm alittle concerned that there will not be enough heat at the base due to it being in a larger container. Pictures are trying to show how I shaved the back of the cut which seemed to work the best in my little test.

Also included pics of the bucket of 12/12 clones. They seem to be doing well. Pretty funny if you ask me.

Sorry to hear about the heat issues man. If it were me Id rip the lower shelf outta that closet and give some breathing room to your babies. Of course that may not be an option for ya :P

Well, I did it. I finally setup my closet, I have 5 germinated seeds in some jiffy pots and 10 more seeds germinating as we speak (4 have already cracked). I have a journal started with MANY pics so feel free to check it out. Here's the link https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/178030-first-ever-grow-closet-cfls.html

I sure hope everything turns out ok for ya, and that your heat stressed baby still yeilds some potent buds. Ill be loggin back on after I sleep for a while to check up on ya, oh and +rep for giving away your plants :)

Wen't away for a couple days and came back very pleased with how well my roomate took care of my ladies. Several have definately entered their last stage and are swelling like crazy. The most mature plants now have 20% orange hairs and 100% cloudy trichs - prolly going to be just a few days till I start seeing some amber and then its getting chopped - Waaaay earlier than I thought they would be ready.

My budding clones have taken off and definately re-entered the veg state.

LST clone is doing well - tons of preflowers showing.

12/12 clones doing very well also - starting to frost up. I think these will be really funny - gram or two on each.

Thanks man. Super proud of my girls - they definately didn't let me down this first grow of mine.
Most excellent man, made me salivate onto the keyboard just a little :clap::clap: You have definately given me some inspiration, as I only plan on having 4 plants with lots of lights. Im hoping I can get similar results and I would be just THRILLED to pieces.

pic 7 should be in a hightimes magazine
You said it dark. These are easily some of the prettiest CFL bud pics Ive seen so far. The tops are so dense too, just amazing for little ol spiral light bulbs. I will bookmark this page just to keep handy for CFL haters :shock::shock::shock:

Too kind. But i'll take the compliments all the same. At this point I kind of wish I had done it like you are going to - more room and less plants. Considering my results and the size of my plants I'm betting you'll yield very well and if you give em love the quality will be amazing too.

where do you get those y sockets for the lights
Any hardware store carries them. I got mine at Home Depot for under $3 each, I was never able to find ceramic ones though. All 3 of the Wal-Mart's Ive been to do not carry any y splitters. They do have a neat socket adapter that has 2 wall plugins on it though.

Yup - it's all about the local hardware store. Got all mine at Home Depot as well. Actually got most everything I needed at home depot with the exclusion of activated carbon.

Smoked a small nug I pinched off a couple days ago. 3 day dry with no cure made it not the tastiest but it got me high and I detected quite a bit of citrus. Should be a good smoke when prepared properly and mature. Looks like I am going to be harvesting over many many weeks. 2 of the plants look like they could come down today and smoke well. I think i'll give them at least a week more if not two or three. The monster and my favorite plant should be ready a week or two behind the first and the short stocky indica and the tallest one are going to be a few weeks behind these.

So far I have 4 replacements already in the grow room - the 12/12 clones (already budding for a week), clone of the monster with 3 fan leaves/shoots per node (recently topped), Unknown highly indica grown 12/12 from seed (growing this one in honor of the veteran that gave me the pot), and a clone of the short indica. Will be putting in the LST clone as well in a week or two. It's a clone of one of the two that should be ready first, which seem to be the biggest yielders with the most frosting :) I probably won't have room for a 6th plant but if I do it is going to be one of my own crossed feminized seeds or Ill try the Spider Goo that all ended up being males.

Sup bro!!! Nice freaking grow man!! Just another testament to the power of CFL's! IMHO Having the bulbs vertical like we do is the way to go. The light goes down the whole plant instead of just focusing on the top top bud. You definitly have some gorgeous ladies. I would definitly let em go a few more weeks, they definitly look like they got some more fattening up to do. Its killing me waiting on my girls lol. I feel your pain my friend. Every time you touch em and get that thc resin glue all over your fingers makes you just want to bongsmilie em. Expecially with my BB X CC smells just like Blueberry Muffins hehe. Purple Chitrals smell crazy musky citrusy...I thought it was a mango smell but I dont think so anymore...I dont really now how to place it. Either way, you got a good strain there. I definitly love the frost.
Dude are you going to put some females outdoors? throw some MG Moisture control in a 2x2' hole with some dolomite lime and polysachrin(I think thats how u spell it) crystals with some worm castings and and guano and they will EXPLODE. I read you say you live near the sierras? You are so lucky...I live in texas but grew up in Alaska. I miss the mountains so much...I think im going to move to Colorado when I can. Anyways, Id love to see some of those clones grown up in the mountains =D. Either way, great grow bro and sry for the long post lol. I just love seeing great CFL grows. I'll have some new pics up in a couple days.

Thank you for the long post. I really do need to throw a couple female outside huh? My buddie just planted an 'orchard'. Fing trees to begin with in 3x3x3' holes. Might just help him with his :)

I live in the San Fransisco Bay Area but have property up in the sierras. Went to boarding school in Montana, now it's hard to go a few months without visiting the mountains - still bet it doesn't even compare to alaska. I really need to go on a flyfishing trip up there. I'm used to tiny little rainbow trout - in alaska the fish are fucking HUGE!

Totally right about the wait - soo hard. And to think that I have to cure them afterwards b4 a good smoke. AHHH! how will I do it?! I try not to touch them at all because it makes it all that much harder. Such fruityness from a couple of my babies - makes me want to cry. (one of them kinda smells like dog shit though, kinda like some bud my friend just gave me)

Haha I feel ya on that one man. My friend grew a while back and we were literally sitting in his closet where the buds were drying licking our lips. Not to mention we were completely out of bud haha!! I am certain that when harvest time rolls around not EVERY little bud will get cured the way it should if ya know what I mean lol.

My new project now is cutting a hole in my closet wall, I have decided for sure on it and a buddy will probably be helping me this weekend. 84 degrees with 50%+ humidity not even a week into growing kinda scares me.

if u were to have 10 1000 watt lights and a room 24 x 24 and all the other good stuff... how can u maximize the amount of pounds grown? how much plants will be ideal to grow the most amount of pounds of white widow and sour diesal (or how much plants per light)? whats the best spacing for growing in this room? how much pounds would u be expecting? don't worry about the lighting cost or being bait* that will be tricked. and please add any tips or secrets u may have for maximization of plants growth
