First CFL grow from Bagseeds

Ok so here it goes........ This is my first Full Blown CFL grow!
I'm workin with 12,500 lumens growin outta my closet.....

Startin my seeds in recycled paper cups, that way when they are ready to be bumped up to bigger pots I can move them without disturbin them much and I can put the cups right into the water and have no worries with the roots.......

I have all of them in a moisture control soil from Miracle Grow with added perlite and Rich Earth. I posted a thread on Rich Earth with a link to the site if anyone wants to check it out- just do a search for it.......

I soaked my seeds for 24 hours and put them in the cups. The cups are so close together because they arent the most stable things.

There is a heating pad underneath the bin for added warmth while they are germin.

Other than that, it started, and I'll keep it updated as much as possible.I gotta get a new camera, my dumb ass threw away the instalation CD..so hopefully when I get a new camera I'll have some growth goin on!

Looking good, try to get hold of a cam soon.. and try keeping a little schedule of when you water it and stuff, or make any changes to its' environment.

And smart move with the heating pad... Goodluck.

Thanks, the temp has been droppin crazy at night and it takes too long for the house to heat back up, so I figured the heating pad would keep it regular, and plus when the heat does come on, it wont fluctuate the temp too drastically.

Next time sprout them in paper napkins,6 paper napkin's folded vertically,then folded again.then place the "wet square napkin with the seeds in it" on top of a styrofoam plate,and cover it with another plate.Place in a dark warm area until they sprout.Keep it clean.

I've always just soaked them 24 hours in a dark warm place and then dropped them in the soil with a pretty good success rate. I figure that way I don't have to worry about messin up the tap root it has when I do transplant them to soil.....Many a seeds have I lost cuz of that......No matter how careful and gentle I was somehow I still fucked em up......

One thing though. I know you said you have 12,500 lumens, but we need more details, so we know how to help you...
-How many, and of what wattages, CFLs do you have?
-What are their color temperatures?
-What are the dimensions of your grow space?
-What strain? Or if you don't quite know, are they indica or sativa dominant?
-What do you have for ventilation?
-If a train leaves LA at 4:20 going 42mph, and a train leaves NYC also at 4:20 going 34mph, when will I get stoned? :blsmoke:

Ok my Floro tubes are 40 watts each and give off 3050 lumens each bulb.
I have 4 CFL's that give off 1600 lumens each and I believe they are Daylight bulbs
Right now they are in a 30-40 gallon storage bin, but after they outgrow that they will be in roughly 3x5x5 closet.
As far as strain goes- out here no one know jack about this shit, so i couldn't tell you- but from everything that I have had out here I would say it Indica dominate.
Ventilation-- not worried about that.... smell don't bother no one in the house and I live out in the middle of nowhere so no worries about any of that.......

If a train leaves LA at 4:20 going 42mph, and a train leaves NYC also at 4:20 going 34mph, when will I get stoned?

The answer to that my dear friend is the sooner you light up, the sooner you get there!

OK- so I didn't throw the installation CD away- I ended up leavin it in my Dad's truck........

So here is the first pic....... Just one of them showin my lil recycled bags- yea there's 13 of them- LUCKY ASS Number!

But I figured the more I planted, the better my chances would be of gettin at least 2 decent ones........

But here it is, and as soon as they start to sprout- I'll put more up.

The only light I have on them right now is my Floro tubes...........

Looks aright, when we spoke about lighting earlier I though you would only be growing one..

But if you happen to get 2 females, you'll need to add to your lighting.

Yea, I'm only counting on one to actually survive AND be a female....... But I have the extra lights already set aside waiting for deployment-just in case.......

I'm keepin a low expectation to avoid disappointment-LOL!

Ok, so one of the 13 has finally sprouted. Not very big, and it looks kinda thin. Def not what I'm used to seeing. But then again it's only bag seed.

But I'm hopin that more will be poppin their lil heads up throughout the day as well as tonight.

I will take some pics after I get more sprouted and get them posted........

Just wanted to give an update since it's been a few days.:weed:

hey man, you'll be suprised by bagseed. its like a mystery bag. check out my bagseed grow. i'm at day 59 of flowering. some new pics up tomorrow.

Oh yea no doubt! My first outdoor grow was a bag seed and I got 1.2 lbs outta her- I shocked myself for real!

I don't expect that now, but damn if that won't lovely! And she was Dank as all hell to boot! I think the secret was Grandma's dirt-hahahahaha

Oh yea- update:

Checked on the girls today- the first one that sprouted looked a lil limp when I checked on her this mornin. Think I have heat issues.
So I left the door cracked and checked her later this evening and Wow- she shot straight back up.......

Not to mention I have 3 more sprouts.......... One looks a little gimp- but I learned from the first one that she can bounce back at any time that I aint expecting it...... So I'm not messin with her........

I raised them up closer to my Floro lights until they start to develop, then I'll transplant them into their own pots and set all the lights up properly........

I'll get some pics come tomorrow and post them up here- My cam blows, but I'll do my best........
