First CFL closet grow.

I think your reseach has just sold me on fox farms lol. It sounds like the good stuff. I am sure the little ladies will love it.

So here is how my setup will be as soon as they break more root.

The dresser still needs some work. either going to paint it white(flat or gloss?) or just get some reflective material and put around it. I can use the dresser drawer to rise and lower the plants whenever I want. when there small I can use the bottom of it to store items and use the fan under there to blow and have cool air in so I dont have heat issues. I can add more lights when they get bigger and etc.. I still have to find something to make a door on it. I want 2 doors so I can pull it open like cabniets and put a lock on it.

Flat piant is better than gloss. seems counter intuitive but the glossy surface eats light.

The ricg looks very well built. How big do you plan on vegging before you flower. will you top/fim them. Vertical space seems to be very limited.

Very much so. I want like 2-3main colas if I can get that if not atleast 2 main colas.

depends I mite 12-12from seeds or i mite 18-6 for a week then throw into 12-12 and let it only get about 2 foot and want one or 2 main colas like I said in the above post.

I am going o try the 12/12 from seed next time. If your interested you should search for spittn4cash's 5th grow journal. He went 12/12 from seed and it looked pretty good. The less amount of light might make the plants stretch. Maybe 18/6 or more for veg will work better for a low ceiling.

shef first of all you don't need to ever change the lighting schedule. Keep them on 20 on and 4 off from seed to harvest. And for the nutes DO NOT USE for the first three weeks since you have FF Ocean Forest Soil. GREAT SOIL but it has some organic ferts in it when you first use. Another thing with autos there is not topping, fiming, or cloning its just from seed to harvest. She has an inner clock to tell her when to start flowering and all you need to do is sit back, water and watch. If you want some smaller plants then do what I did LST or Low Stress Training. The first time I waited a little bit to long, on the other two i have going I did a lot sooner and I can already tell that I'm going to be gettting some better results. whats the tallest ur aks have gotton and such and the dry weight yield? and will 5cfls be ok? 4 26watt 6500 and a 42watt cfl I will add more when I get paid

About a foot. Jane was going to be HUGE but I LST'ed her a couple days ago. Take a look at what you can do with string and push pins. Yeild of last two was just over an ounce. But that was also with CFL's and me burning the hell out of them. I'm looking to get atleast an ounce off of each this time if not an ounce and a half.

where did u get ur seeds from? I ordered mine from Attitude tis been about a week and it says the samething about there on its way something about overseas united postal service. I guess im waiting on the Us idk

I went with dope-seeds.com got the beans in about 8 days with the auto's. Got my White Shark within 7 days I think. JIM from dopeseeds has really great customer service and fast shipping.

How not to grow dope

I'm confused with all this talk of flowering in 20 hours of light. Is that because you are growing "autoflowering strains." Forgive my ignorance. I have never bought seeds online. I can see the benifits of 20 ours of light all the way through, but how do you know exactly when they will flower? Like can you veg them to a certin hieght and then start flowering like with a 2 photoperiod system? Does the a.f. strains flower as a response to the right nutes? or just the maturity of the plants?

shefsmoke- based on what little I know, if your skunk(bagseed) is not "AutoFlowering" then I beleve they will need at least 12 hours of extended darkness a night to envoke flowering. You may get prefowers early but I don't ting they will bud. They will just veg as big as they can.

If your AK sees are auto flowering then I am very exited to watch. It will be new for me.

yeah my skunk seed wont do that. that info is for my "auto ak47" seeds that i had purchased and for my next grow thats what i'll be using.

after 14days of its life to autoflower sends itself into a rapid flowering stage

By "auto AK" you meant auto flowering. I thought that was just a cool sounding breed. I have heard of AK 47 but Automatic AK sounded great to me!

yep it only takes 65-70days and which is great since I dont have the time for long period of flowering
