Done alot of reading on the site about scrog and cfl grows. This is going to be a grow on the budget.
This is my first grow and im not going to spend the money on A HPS light until i have at least one successful harvest. Also i have to leave for winter break so i'm not positive the plants are going to live through that anyway. Hope they will thought!

I've got 5 2700k CFLs that were just lying around the house already and 2 6500k bulbs that i picked up at the hardware store when i got the Miracle grow organic soil 3, 3 gallon pots and some rooting clone powder. Right now by my calcs i've got 3 seedlings under 9700 lumens. (a mix of 1600, 1450, and 1200 lumen bulbs)

I germinated the seeds on a whim just cuz i've had them for a year and i just now have my own place with room to grow.
The problem with doing things on a whim is that you arn't prepared.
I had nothing at my apartment so i put all 3 seeds in the same pot after they sprouted ( only 3 out of 30 germinated.)

After about a week i decided to transplant them into the 3 gal pots b/c i was afraid of them getting too big and then have to worry about tearing their roots when separating.

Here are some pics about 2 days after moving to the larger pots.
You can see that the light fixture fell on the plants as i was buying the dirt and stuff so it got a little burnt

The material on the wall is an old Mylar emergency blanket that i found in a first aid kit.

I spent some time re-arranging my (ghetto rigged) lighting setup so now the plants are receiving every bit of light my cfl's are pumping out (okay not every bit but lets just say they are all getting a lot more light than before)
Mushroom man thinks my girls have some N deficiency, so i'll be going to buy some nutes this weekend.

Can't wait to see what'll happen. The girls look like they need it!

Transplanted today. Fucking disaster. I shouldn't have started the seedlings in such big pots. Half the roots broke off when I tried to transplant.
Fucking shame, and a rook mistake. Anyway's i'm over it. I'm not going to give up on them. but i have started a couple more seeds that i'm going to put on a 12/12 cycle from a week in.

and hopefully have some dank buds ready for Christmas.

As far as the three girls in the 3 gallon pots. I'm planning on keeping one for a mother and throwing the other two under 12/12 with the other seeds i'm starting. Hopefully i'll be able to do at least one top or some lst before. Right now i just have to be patient.

Camera's being a bitch today, it's suddenly deciding to focus on the dirt and not the plants. (facepalm...)
Anyway here is the one non blurry pic I managed to take.
This one came back the fastest from the transplant but is still the most pale out of the 3. Gave her approx ~100ppm of nutes about 2 day's ago. Can already see some new growth. Others are doin' alright as well.

I've been keeping the lights low so the node spacing is looking good, but i've been thinking there might be some bleaching going on here. (but how is it only present in one of the girls???) There is also a brown spot on the left most leaf in the pic. It's a perfect circle so i'm not sure if its but related or if the nutes are responsible.
I have seen some small black flying insects (prob gnats) but i've been inspecting the plants and have seen no other signs of damage or eggs or anything except the occasional buzzer by my head.

Changed form a 24/0 to 18/6 lighting sched, to try and get some extra root development after my transplant fiasco.

I have one seed in the ground but it's not looking so good. don't think it's going to make it.:wall::finger:

Feel free to leave a comment, this is my first grow after all so try to be understanding.
After and before pic's

Got a chance to go to the Hardware store today, and took a few moments to re-arrange my grow-closet.
Plants are officially recovered from the botched transplanting.

I been looking around the net and it's pretty obvious to me that my plants have been stunted, whether by the soil, the stress, the watering or the heat i don know but there isn't much i can do right now about that. I do however, plan to start adding CO2 to the room. I figure if i can't keep the temps down, then I might as well add some CO2 because you're supposed to have higher temps with that any way.
I've decided to use baking soda and vinegar, using a wick method that i saw on a fellow RIU CFL stealth PC growers, page.

I'm actually relatively glad that the plants are going to be stunted. I don't know very much about the end consequence's of stunted plants, but these girls came from a plant that was over 7' tall, and i can't have that in my closet (ya i know it's more about how much light. But still there is the genetics question.)

Here are some pics of how everyone is doing. The MDlds cup is the seedling that pretty much gave up hope one but surprisingly somehow came back!! which means more :weed: for me!

Edit: i took several pics on different settings. Didn't bother sorting thru them b4 posting.

Awesome grow man! Great setup on a budget. When I transplanted mine i broke quite a few roots as well. Some tlc and they'll pull through. I'm subbed, we're right about the same time in grows so we'll be harvesting at similar times :D

Sativas ftw btw
