Here we go

The Obama administration is planning to explicitly call for Syrian President Bashar Assad to step down in coming days, two administration officials told FoxNews.
The State Department signaled for the first time that American efforts to engage the Syrian government are finally over. The White House is expected to lay out the tougher line by the end of this week, possibly on Thursday.
The administration will first consult with the United Nations Security Council as the Treasury Department prepares a new set of sanctions aimed at Assad's family and his government, the officials told FoxNews.

The unilateral U.S. sanctions being prepared within the Treasury Department will be important to pay attention to, the officials said.

there's really little options for syria.

this guy is using his army's tanks to fire on his own people. that's not what the leader of a nation should be allowed to do.

this is the kind of trash we have to rid the world of.... there's little things that get corrupt leader's attention more than staring down the american war machine's barrel.....

If we are going to suddenly become the protectors of human rights, we need to leave the three countries we're in (where we are constantly violating that exact creed), and start helping the people of Darfur and the 30+ other countries in the world that are on the genocide watch.

Go ahead, read up on what the American War Machine promotes in Iraq: http://www.genocidewatch.org/iraq.html

there's a slight difference between darfur and syria.

that difference is ISRAEL.

but whatever.... the only reason you think darfur is worse is because it gets more media attention because syria has imposed a very SERIOUS crackdown on media within it's borders.

serious as in if you are caught with a camera aiming the wrong way you probably will die..... so we don't hear about it, that doesn't change that it's very likely several thousand syrian protesters have been killed by the syrian army this week....

but i guess if YOU don't care, then WE shouldn't care.....

Afghanistan...We got Osama (in Pakistan) and we're still there. Does anyone have an issue with this? Can anyone explain to me why we're still there and why you would support the ongoing killing of our men and women and citizens of a sovereign nation...for what? Before you answer, I will not accept "Freedom and Democracy"...That was the previous administration's BS story....You'll need new material.

Yes, 1700 killed I believe is the estimate. Welcome to a dictatorship, don't like it? Revolt.

In January 2010, The Centre for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters published an article in a special issue of The Lancet. The article, entitled Patterns of mortality rates in Darfur Conflict,[174] estimated, with 95% confidence, that the excess number of deaths is between 178,258 and 461,520 (the mean being 298,271), with 80% of these due to diseases.[175] 51 International peacekeepers have been killed in Darfur.[citation needed]
Reports by the Syrian Human Rights Committee estimate "over 25,000"[23] or between 30,000 to 40,000 people were killed.[24] The Syrian Muslim Brotherhood also suggests a figure of approximately 40,000 victims.
Twenty years later, Syrian journalist Subhi Hadidi, wrote that "under the command of General 'Ali Haydar, besieged the city for 27 days, bombarding it with heavy artillery and tank [fire], before invading it and killing 30,000 or 40,000 of the city's citizens — in addition to the 15,000 missing who have not been found to this day, and the 100,000 expelled."[6]

You hear about them both. If we are going to go to one, we should be going to the other. We can't afford this ideology anyways, on more than just a fiscal level. We should never go to war for Israel. A war on terrorism should, in all reality, involve a war on Israel.

Fuck war. Plain and simple. I hate to be the asshole, but we need to let the rest of the world fight their own battles. I realize we need oil, but we can't keep this up.

There's a reason why I didn't join the military out of HS. All my buddies have gotten IED's or are nut cases.

It's all crashing. We will be living like Mad Max soon. The good news is that in a post apocalyptic environment, weed will be a very valuable commodity, and much more useful than a gold coin! Plant your girlz quickly my friends, the end is near!
