Finish Grow PICTURES.. Input and Questions

OK i just started a new grow, and here are some pictures of my last grow... It finished well but it didnt really have that much of a smell and was a pretty dark in color. And i was wondering if it looks as if there are any problems. I flushed it about 2 of 3 times with fresh water, but i didnt let the soil fully dry out and after flushing and before cutting and i think it was too moist when i cut..maybe?? or maybe i didnt cure it good enough. really all i did was hang it upside down in a dark area for a couple days. Main thing is i dont want my new grow to end up like this.. It was still pretty good nugs.. i mean there were no seeds and it was kinda crystally. Any help or input.

well, how did you tell if they were done or not?
Did you check the trich's, go off the hairs, or what?
It still looks pretty green for having been flushed that many times.....
 
Are you supposed to let the soil COMPLETELY dry out before cutting? any other input about pics wanted.
 
yea well see i flushed it only twice prolly and waited only a few days...and i went off of hairs pretty much .... I got about an ounce.

An ounce...if it's dry weight.... is good yield off that man. The plant looked fine, maybe it just isn't cured all the way, sometimes the smell that it had when growing goes away and then comes back, usually a sign the cure is done.
Yes the soil need to dry out thoroughly before watering again. I would suggest a cheap moisture tester for about $9.00 at lowes or walmart. I water when it gets in the middle, or just stick your finger into the soil. It should feel dry where ya' stick into it. Also it should be really dry when ya harvest it, to make sure there is as less water in the plant as possible so it doesn't take forever to dry and cure.
 
yea the soil was still pretty moist when i chopped it.. i think that mightve been the problem. but still i mean the bud was pretty good but it was really dark like almost a little bit of brown, would being too moist when cut affect it negatively?
 
i don't think it would other thanthe dry time. It could have been over dried before going into jars for the cure.
How did you dry and cure it?
 
really all i did was leave it out in a dark place hung upside down for about a day or two and then put into jars.
 
looks good to me for your first grow. 1 ounce per plant with only 4 cfl'S. is that how many cfl's you had? also did you us molasses with flowering? that helps yield, flavor, and crystall formation during flowering. hey you may want to look into hempy growing. this is just as easy as soil but has some hydroponics mixed in and requires NO xtra work. :-)

AAhhhh.....sounds like it wasn't dry enough before going into the jars. You wanna let them hang dry for about 5-7 days depending on how dense the buds are, and how humid the environment is you dry in.
I would say that's what happened. for the next one do alot of research on the drying and curing stage. From the look of it, you have the rest pretty much down, judging from that massive bud you grew...LOL!!! That thing is crazy looking!!
