It all depends.

Some will say that if you top, you will just be dividing what would have grown in one cola, into 2 or more colas. In my experiences topping did not help weight that much.

I use it more for if I have a tall girl that I can't put into flower just yet. I top her to keep her low.

I only fim normally by accident, which is how fimming started, (FUCK I MISSED) It's when you go to top and you miss and 3,4 or more colas pop up. You get similar results as topping, just more colas.... more bushy....

So Fimming is better? or just leave it alone?
And can you fim it as many times as you want?

Well if you are not on a time schedule then fimming you girls over a couple months would make them more bushy with more bud sites.

But if you are on a schedule then you don't get to have the extra veg time to bush those girls out.

So now you must decide. Is she too tall? No? Then I say leave her. Is she slightly too tall and you have two or weeks of veg left? Then top her. Or fim. Whichever. Fimming will produce more colas.

Keep in mind though. Say you have two identical plants. You top one and not the other. Now one plant has one cola, and the other has two main colas.

The one cola produces 7 grams in the cola. The two cola may only produce 3.5 grams per cola or less. So you don't gain much from topping or fimming unless you have the time to veg her out more.

Thanks guys, That helps alot.
How much time should be given in between Fimming for her to recover?

Well I would suggest a min of 2 weeks. I top sometimes 2 weeks before flower. You will see first hand what happens when you top/fim her. That part of the lesson I can't teach you ;)

You will do just fine.

Oh and please double check you are confident before you cut because you can easily cut off more than you were supposed to. It won't kill the plant if this happens, but you will sacrifice bud sites if you cut in the wrong place. (too far down)

I cut about 70-80 % off , does that sound right?
