Few questions on setup for tent

hey everybody,

I'm getting close to setting up my first grow tent. Ive picked up a few items so far, but wondering if I need anything else. Here's what I have:

Two 1000 watt dimmable mh/hps lights
6.5 x 6.5 x 6.5 foot grow tent
6" carbon filter
2 inline booster 240 cfm fans
1 440 cfm "vortex style" fan
Ducting (obviously)
Clip on fan for a breeze

Now, I'm wondering what you guys recommend i do or install in the tent to control temperature and humidity. Is a humidifier overkill? As for temps, I cannot buy an Ac specifically for the tent, so I'm wondering how to keep temps just right.

Also, at this point I'm thinking to grow soil. I Want to stay under 10 plants. I'm wondering how many plants would be good for the 6.5 foot tent, and would it be worth it to maybe even buy a bigger tent. I'm comsidering getting a 10 long by 5 foot wide tent and replacing the 6.5, do you think this would make a big difference for under 10 plants?

I know I have a lot of questions, but if you guys are still reading I have one more...

To cool the two 1000 watt lights, can that hot air be blown into the same room as the tent or must it be blown outside? If so I'd have to cut a hole in the wall for ventilation, which sounds pretty hard.

Thanks a lot- I'd like to hear anything you guys have to say.

If you want to stay under 10 plants than 3x3 would work nicely in a square space. But 2xbulbs in that space wouldn't give a good spread. Yes you should blow off to a different space than the tent is in. That in combination with a good matching exhaust (which you got) is the way to avoid the need for an ac. Possibly switch day and night so you can take in cooler air. If you blow out in the same room you're not only going to have problems with high temps but also high humidity and possibly also molds up the room over time.

A 5x10 foot tent would work much better for 2x1000watt. With less than 10 plants in a larger space you'll have to veg longer, idealy spread (crops/scrog) them out to fill the space optimal, but is doable sure.

Thanks man. Do you have any suggestions on how I could setup with soil? Like size gallon pots, soil type (heard fox farm is good but miracle grow = bad), or fertilizers?

I can't recommend any soil in particular, not really a soil grower, but if you're going for less than 10 plants I suggest using large pots, like 6-7 gallon. As for nutes, I hear great things about Dyna-gro and Jack's. Keep it simple, no high pk stuff or expensive supposedly cannabis specific nutrients and boosters.
