Few questions about my plants and roots.

Hello everyone, I have a few newbie questions I'm hoping you can help me out with!

I have a few plants in 6L containers and after just a week the roots are growing outside the pots all over them. I will get bigger pots in a couple of days but will it be to late to transplant?

The plants are still in vegg, do I have to switch them to blom?
Will the roots stop growing if I switch to blom?

I was planning on using one healthy looking of them as a mother, but if I have to blom them now is it a bad idea to take a few cuttings just before bloming them?

I accidentally ripped a few roots of from my biggest plant when I turned it around and now the leaves looks a little funny at the ends, like standing up, could it have to with the root thing or what is that a sign of?

Really appreciate some help here!

you can pull clones off up to 12 days in flower but I wouldnt go later than that.
I would tranplant to a 3gal bucket and wait a few days the flip to 12/12 if thats
your intention is to flower. are they from seed? have you sexed them yet?
if you havnt sexed them and they are from seed you will need to flip them to
12/12 to sex them. them see how many female you have and pull one out and
flip it back to 24hr VEG for your mother and let the rest flower out.

it's never too late to transplant, take your cuttings before flowering, your best bet ist to clone them all and save your most potent female and robust male if you want to make seeds too.
disregard the ripped roots, MJ is an extremely tough plant, that is negligible damage.
root growth slows down slightly during flowering.

Tnx for your replies!

Haven't heard of that method for sexing, wouldn't it shock my plant? But maybe not enough to make it a hermie? They are from seeds yes and I've been running them 24/0 from start.

So when I'm transplanting I just rip of the roots from the bottom of the container? They are like all tangled up in each other so I see no other way.

you are correct in assuming hermies could be a problem down the road with that method of sexing, not recommended by this grower.
Rip and tear dude, I untangle the root ball too otherwise the roots won't grow out sideways.

i also do not agree with the sexing method mentioned above. Either veg until sex is shown or clone each plant before entering onto 12/12.
