To a point with knoledge of your medium and size of container.i fert every day full strength. The key is drainage i use a FoxFarm mixture nd every day there dry but not wilting. Foxfarm to me (happy frog, ocean forest blend) has amazing drainage and ill water once in the morning with fert then once just before the lights go out with clear spring water I will then every few days foliar spray them at half strength and fans blowing and temps around 70°

.. I use 0-10-10 at 8 ml/L and then a tiny tiny dash of 20-20-20 so it comes out to like 2-12-12 never lost a leaf in flowering unless the plant needs some pruning for air circulation. I also use when needed cal_mag and more recently superthrive but way less often.

I feel the algebra in this fert routine is the larger the container and more density of medium the less you fertilize/water to an extent. Thats because there is more volume for it to be stored. But on the flipside, like i already said adequet drainage allows you to fertilize more often because you will water more often. And can dry faster inbetween with smaller containers allowing to water more often and generally doing a flush every night for me so theres a low chance of burning.. Again though this is for container growing.

My cab gets around 84° at its peak with around 75% humidity. Its 4x4x4 so I keep mine small (just for indoors) in just 32 oz containers and 42oz as well for some larger strains. I never had a prob with root bound plants and if i see signs i just cut the bottom off the container and set atop another 24 oz and finish. I grow medicinally for moderate to sever chronic muscle spasms. But i only burned a plant once. With my small containers i can water twice a day and get super fast results. by week two or three i have 1.5 ft of growth and i top or LST by bending.

Please share your views on this. Although i am not asking for advice it would be cool for some other newbies to see. This is my indoor nutrient schedule and never has it failed me. They usualy get to about 2.5 ft single stem, 1.5 -2ft topped and FiMed for most indica sativa hybrids
also i love to lst bend them which i can shape however.

I have all of my fertilizer (organic) already in the soil and only have to water every 4 days. Why make this harder than it has to be?

4 cubed?

My flower tent is 2'x2', I grow 3-4 plants at a time and use 2-3 gallon fabric pots. I typically get 1.5-3 oz per plant, depending on the strain. So anywhere from 6-12 oz.

4x4x4 is 4 cubed. How tall are your plants. How wide are they. 2 ft tent isnt really that much for 2 plants in 3 gal containers. half your space is used by the containers themselves and add your lights and air it just doesnt make sense unless you have just a couple cfls. also whats your point. This is a forum illustrating you can fert everyday using methods simmalar to this one. Besides only a fraction of whats put in is used up.

I do 2.5 *2.5*8 room with 1 plant and get from 3-6 oz depending on strain I feed every watering up until mid flower then I start to back off however I don't think it's good for newbs thet burn their plants all the time to be exposed to this kind of information. having to watr every day means your in a pot too small, great if it works for you but most people will end up with salt buildups and burn the shit out of their plants small pots are not as forgiving. good luck with yor grow

smaller pots just means i have more real estate in there. Thts just my flower cab. id rather have 8 strains pullin as much as ican then one strain pullin its max. more variety. You can get results in any sized container.

i really wanna do it in my walk in closet though. Id have 10 plants in 5 gal pots under 3, 250w hps. Ten foot ceiling. i just like the little plants for winter and pick out a nice one and clone it for outside.

Yes you can but most people feeding every day will fuck up their grows. More power to you if you can do it properly.

But you both did have good points though. Most newbs couldnt do it that small without some level of experience. But with good draining soil any sized container could be fixed from a salt buildup. Its the kids scoopin up mud into buckets i worry about.

Hrm, the Happy Frog/Light Warrior I get has terrible freaking drainage. I have to add plenty of perlite to get it to drain how I like (at this point every 3 days).

Thats odd. I mix a 2cubic foot bag of happy frog with another bag of ocean forest and even in my ten gal pots for my peppers iwater every couple days. sometimes i have to add a water retentioner it drains so fast.

I used to do smaller plants in smaller pots, running 5 in a 2x2 but since ive switched to running one in a bigger pot they just seem to come out healthier and dankier. having more strains is a good point. I have a separate veg room I keep 2 strains in and alternate in my flower room. smaller pots more roots in a confined space less room for medium and you risk the chance of compressing the roots if you let em go too long but for small plants like your doing you wouldn't see that until later in flowering probably. personally I want them to have all the room they need and grow big plants to get the most out of them in yield and quality

the first and last were in 32 oz cups. ff soil. the middle two are widows the left middle is ww/big bud. The first and last are some ind/sat hybrids. All got bloom ferts @ half strength almost every day and watered twice a day one feeding in the morning then an evening flush. The soil does dry pretty quickly and i just cut the bottom off the containers at week 6 or earlier too prevent the root compaction. The first and last were 5weeks old around 2 and a half into flowering. All legally grown as well.
