Fem Seed = Healthy Male

Hey RIU,

I have a Feminized Cheese Wreck from Seedism ceed bank, it was a freebie from 'Tude. And it's a boy! Three weeks into Flower, Super healthy, lightly LST'd. I'm wondering; is this common, to grow Males from Fem ceeds? Or is it not the ceed I ordered?

Yes, it's possible I switched plants/labels by accident but put ALOT of effort into keeping my strains organized whilst germinating ceeds. Potentially, I'd like to cross this Male Cheese Wreck to one of my own BluesBerry King (Blue Mystic Hybrid) to make "Blueberry Cheese Wreck" - but maybe not if it's an "unknown" plant.

THANKS guys and gals!

Anything is possible I guess. Maybe they mixed it up at the shop, maybe its a strong hermie, maybe its just the alignment of the stars.

fem seeds have no male genetic input. If it was a freebie and its def male I'd say you either swapped labels or tude mis labeled.

MrCRC,
Also, could be some stray pollen got into the wrong grow chamber. Either from a different chamber or even outside air. Go ahead with the cross. Serendipity is more then just a cool sounding word. bongsmilie

THANKS folks!

I will go ahead and breed it; why not; serendipity and all.

It definitely was mis-labled from Tude - the genetics are better than any of my personal collection - and you're right fem seeds have no male genetics (only the possibility of herm traits).

I'm keeping him in my kitchen right now; stupid boy :weed:

@ GreengHost420 Very interesting... do you have any links that might clarify that for me? I've been searching but I don't see anywhere that Fem seeds carry male chromosomes. Just the possibility of turning hermie depending on the parents herm-rate. Do you think this Fem Cheese Wreck seed that flowered male is still a Male Cheese Wreck? I prefer to know the strain if I'm to breed with it; but it looks just so good. THNX!

** Just Found This @ growweedeasy.com/how-to-make-your-own-feminized-marijuana%20seeds: "So far for me [reverse pollination] worked 100% of the time. Any male plants that do result when growing feminized seeds are probably genetic females that are growing with male characteristics."

In otherwords, a transexual? Not a hermophrodite. But a full blown, female-pollen, Cheese Wreck transexual? Fuck this is weird.... If so, I'm breeding with it asap lol. Got a clone from a Blue Mystic in flower..

@ Commander Strax I spell it ceeds so it doesn't end up linking to seeds ; which annoys me for some reason...
