Feds Changing Their Minds!!! July 15th....

the truth IS sad-

and alot are hurt. this thread EXEMPLIFIES medical marijuana in michigan right now. lots of medium meds(ever took two hits and almost fall over?). lots of HIGH prices. lots of ME, ME, ME. lots of shops with retards selling every dumbass thing they read about next on the web, and handing out info to match.
people are so stuck on it their gardens are suffering.

the good thing is, EVERY day another skeptical person sees the results first hand. i was in the gas station the other day, and a few were conversing over it. i offhandedly mentioned simpson oil and the old farm gal in the back of line steps up and says "it's true, it's true. my mom had a spot on her face that was cancer. some hippy ribbed this simpson stuff on it and it fell right off!

we need to stay true to the movement even if it means NOT being a millionaire. most weren't gonna be anyway. but be being fairly involved, attributes a great deal society wise.

regular people can see everything that's going on. if they aren't directly related to the issue, they tend to read into news articles saying that 70% of patients in MI are white males 30 or younger, and this is just LEGAL drug dealing. or whatever it was but thats close. imagine if we could show 63% of people that what their doctor is doing is the real crime and that cannabis is a miracle cure, what would the feds do? 63% of people using cannabis as a general remedy.

they would certainly ahve their hands full.

as long as we keep it a cottage industry, it will prove solid income for the majority involved. it also won't be the fuck fest goin on right now, you can bet your ass the feds are watchin THAT. they want in on the money. let s keep it lo-pro for a minute. call it camoflage if you will. that cottage industry mentality has been a mainstay in michigan for along time, and a revival would rejuvenate our state. remember all the little cottages along 23, 33, 65, and others. imagine if they were all little cannabis vineyards, with their own strains and flavors. fall cannabis tours would be all the rage!

also. another thing that is bound to happen, is that with every guy that doesn't have a job any more, growing, the supply is about too go through the roof. what happens to 500 dollar ounces when that happens? every fucking patient there is has 6 ounces on hand of fine smoke. what's it worth?

i think there is a real world example we in MI can look too. any cali growers and/or smokers out there? FDD?, SUB?. what are wholesale/retail prices for TOP shelf meds right now in your area?

another thing i think alot of folks are missing is the opportunity to mimic cali and their mentality of treating cannabis as a regional gourmet produce, similar to wine.
in MI we have geographical conditions that are as unique and worthy as those in any other fine cannabis growing region. we should be working together to realize that potential and to make cannabis mainstream.

I must of missed the part on the application where in exchange for
a symbolic card giving you permission to grow marijuana, you must not only swear off
the idea of capitalism, further more you must treat those aspiring to make any amount
of money you personally think is too high as if they themselves invented this terrible economic
model that our country has used since its inception.
Who knew it would be as easy as planting the idea that our economic model, when used to sell medication
is akin to killing small children.
I wonder how many of you have called the cops in the past
on your dealer when his prices didn't agree with your idea of fair.
I must now call the oakland county sherrif to let him know the price gouging going on at my local
pharmacy. 21 dollars for a boner pill? That's an outrage!!

that's the thing-

95% of dealers WERE fair. the price of high grade ganj has been the same for cloose to 20 years now. until medical. now everyone is a drug dealer.

the problem is this. charging out the ass for medicine isn't capitalism. it's whoring. and it's the same as the drug companies are doing now.

there is no inherent expectation of honesty in capitalism. it only works if those involved have a good heart. it is easily abused by the greedy.

also-

some may want to look at successful business models before hailing "capitalism". there aren't many that follow the course of medical marijuana nad succeeded.
just go with a winning strategy from the start.

there are those that are ruining the market as we speak. in october, good luck with your 500$ ounces!

It's not about swearing off capitalism. It's about being right and just.
You are supposed to be treating patients with medication.
AFFORDable medication that the health system has failed to provide us.
Not making a quick buck off some victim on their last legs.
Not that all of you aren't making some quick buck off nature.
It would be hilarious to see some of these gougers have to pay for seeds or clones with the same exact douchebag model they set up for other espousing capitalist wannabes in regards to patient prices.
Things would change drastically as soon as some of those started having to put the shoe on the other foot.
People like you are the ones who support the laws that allow the major drug corporations to pay off the generic companies NOT to release generics meds so to avoid competition. Wow, capitalism in action.
People like you are the ones purporting the war on terror to be true, even with Operation Northwoods, and a million other tell-tale signs that your a naive trusting fool.
People like you are the ones that always cry when what comes around goes around.
No need to call the sheriff to regulate boner pills, he has other duties as a corporate slave to regulate in other areas for local business'.
If I need any info or to make a complaint about boner pills, I'll definitely call you since you know how much they cost, where to get them, and where to complain to when things don't go my way..
Let me guess what you do for a living by your stance on everything, your avatar, and your boner pill comment ?
A prostitute.
Am I right or what ? kiss-ass

You must have missed alot of things in life besides sections on the MMMP application.
When you participate in a rape, it makes you no less guilty of rape because you created rape or the model for rape.
Gimme a break.
At least rationalize with your brain, and not your calculator.

Forgetting for a moment, all i said was who decides what's too much, and pointing out a change in attitude
in the marijuana culture. And added a bit of hyperbole on ED pills
I was ready to type a big fuck you response to the rest of your bleeding heart
rachel maddow wanna be post but this is all you get.

Although, I should of stated up front, I am not, nor will I ever be anyones caregiver.
I don't care about tending to anyones needs for meds but my own.
What I save in not buying meds is enough for me.
I never put seed to soil with anything, or anyone other than myself in mind.
Save for the friends that I might partake with.
That doesn't preclude me from asking questions on caregivers.

15 years ago i was paying 55 for an 1/8th of top shelf.

last week i went into a CLUB and paid 40 dollars for an 1/8th of top shelf.

wtf are you going on about? :?

15 years ago i had to make 25 phones calls and wait 4 days to get lucky to score a pinched bag of decent smoke. i got what was available at the time and was never given an option for anything.

last week i walked into a CLUB and selected a product from a menu of 30 different flavors. every type of hash, oil, balm, edible, ......

i guess the price for all this is FREE. :)

40 an eight for top shelf?-

fair. actually that's what i was wondering. 1/8's here in mi are whatever can be got.
at 20 a gram that would be 70 an 1/8. from what i've seen that's pretty standard for pricing. there isn't much difference in MI between most growers and clubs. they charge the same.

so if an 1/8 is 40 retail(top shelf mind you, not average) that's 320/ounce (still reasonable, for TOP shelf). they can't be paying the grower much more than 150?
what's happening in cali is what i'm advocating for. what's happening in MI is that a ton of patients are not getting access to quality meds.

since you seem to be in the loop as far as the industry pertains to cali, could you give me a little better idea of average wholesale/ retail prices.

also-

there has always been a good supply of high grade commercial weed around the Flint, MI area due to the shops. so i'm not used to major weed shortages.

Looks like $50 an 1/8 is the going rate where you are, which is the same thing here in Metro Detroit.

i wonder how the quality differs?-

if it's truly great those prices are ok. my problem is everyone who bought a light, did two closet grows, and now is master gardener with 500 an ounce top shelf.

not sure what's up with those listed prices. i got an 1/8th of indoor, hydro OG kush for 40. the soil grown OG was 50, because it was grown in soil.

i just got this 1/8th of cheese and gram of citron last week. it was as good as any cheese i've ever smoked in the past. :eyesmoke:

Good to hear. The guy I got it from said it was a great buzz and his biggest yielding plant. That was enough to talk me into it!
