I think the mods have given up, and I don't blame them.

There are better things to do than sit and argue with a bunch of strangers on line. They should create a political sub-forum for Michigan patients. Nobody mentioned the skype certs being questionable if that is what you are asking. I think anyone in UP will be fine though. Look up how many centers are in the entire UP. Like I said, if it wasn't a renewal I would have traveled to Southfield like ol lady. She never has any issues with shit, they contact her and handle everything. No..that's all your opinion. Yes, I'd have been happy to discuss Skype. The bottom line of getting certified, is the legitimacy of the condition. That's what you don't get. That's why they amended doctor/patient relationship in the bill today. What is happening, and is being handled quite well from what I'm seeing by the system you so hate, is that loopholes are being closed for the person with no real qualifying illness, and compliance is being made easier for true patients and caregivers.

That's how the system should work.

If we had blocked these bills as you suggested...we would have gained nothing. We would have lost the added outdoor growing, transportation of live plants, positive change on doctor/patient, and positive change on affirmative defense

Again, Timmahh tries to twist my view. I'm all for glad getting his card, so long as he has a legit condition, and it sounds like he does. The whole issue with skype, motel doctors and Dr/patient relationship, isn't about limiting access for patients. It's about verifying that they have actual conditions that are real. The goal of these bills is to prevent healthy stoners from getting certified by a signature mill Dr, so the can hide their illegal activities behind the med law.

To be honest..I personally don't care if someone gets certified with a less that perfect reason, so long as they keep thier mouth shut, and act responsibly. What I care about of the 1000's of stoner's who got a card, got some patients, bought some grow equipment and are now flooding the streets with mid grade crap at premium prices. The guy growing for himself..god bless.

But there are thousands upon thousand who have certs and cg status right now that have no compassion, condition, or concern with anything but how much money they can make.

But that didnt stop the Air Force, Navy then Army from attempting to recruit me, push me thru Basic and into officers school. but my spinal issue put a stop to a military option. Though one cousin gave his life in Op Iraqi Freedom, and 2 others (father and son) have booth been to Iraq/Afganistan 3 tours each. The youngest is currently serving his 3rd Tour, and took a bullet on his first. 2 uncles were in Vietman, one was a tunnel rat. another uncle was in WWII, Korea, and Nam as well in the Air Force before he retired. Another Uncle was a Military Priest in WWII and Korea. My family lost 22 members in WW2, and both my Grandfathers were in WWI. I still have my Military issued Winchester 30/30 MY grandfather got fighting in WWI.

Timmah, all I did was tell people that your approach in "blocking the bills" was futile, and encouraged them to call and write, not asking to block, but to repair the bills as worded. Then, as I have been doing all along, I wrote and called everyone I could. Luckily, others did the same. Together, we actually did something to improve things.

My course of action, along with many others thinking like me, made some significant improvements to the bills. I'm not saying that I alone did it, like you'll want to make it out.
