fan size?

k so my buddy has some slightly used gear lieing around... he started up and didnt have time nor was it it his thing so this stuff is pretty new... i need a new filter so hes offering me a 4inch vortex and filter combo at a really cheep price... cheeper then a filter to fit my 6inch... the 4inch does 175cfm and my room is about 500 cubic ft... will this fan be suffeient if i run it 24/7... my central air is hooked into my room so heat is not an issue, jus more concerened with smell as it vents into my living room... will i be ok with this fan and filter on 24/7??

A 4" fan will only "turn" that room over once in 15 minutes. Take the filter and attach a 4" to 6" conversion to your 6" fan. The 6" fan is what you need to turn it over once every 5 minutes.

Actually it will circulate the air in the room in under 3 minutes. As long as the intake and exhaust are placed on opposite sides of the grow tent, the 4" will work fine.
