Fan Size, Cooling, and Humidity Question

Hello RIU Community!
To begin, I would love to know how fan size and room size work. For example: If I have an 8x10 ft room with a 7 ft ceiling, which is 560 cubic feet, do I need an exhaust fan in that ball park of 560 CFM or could I use a fan of 172 CFM? Would the only downfall to a smaller fan in comparison to the room be that is takes longer to vent or am I missing something? Also, I would like to order an environmental controller that has the option of having a single control for Humidity and Temperature, or should I go for the controller with independent Temperature and Humidity controls? I am leaning toward the single control because that way I could use a single fan to control both Humidity and Temperature. But what I am wondering if that is even how it works?
Thanks for your time. Hope to hear LOTS of responses!

I've read that you need to turn over the air in your room anywhere from once a minute to once every 5. I personally grow in a 7x7x7 room (not a tent) and I just shoot for negative pressure. That way the carbon filter gets all the smelly stuff. For me having 343 cubic feet I went with a 6" Vortex inline rated for 449 cf/m. I dialed it WAY down though via a speed controller to control noise. I'm probably only running 150 cf/m but I have negative pressure, things are very quiet, and there is no smell outside the room.
