Fan placement question

I have a 10 inch fan pulling hot air through 5 air cooled hoods with 600w hid lights and a carbon filter. It goes filter, hood, hood, hood, hood, hood, fan, exhaust. Is this ok? I have heard that fans work better when pulling air. Is this true. Also worried about overheating my fan by pulling hot air through them. Thanks

That fan would be pulling a lot of hot air. I would place some where in between the hoods, after 2 or 3 should be fine.

Edit: before doing this i would check the exhaust temp if it feels really hot then switch it up if not then it should be fine.

Just try it, run the lights for an hour or two. then run it the other way, see which is better. Nothing wrong with a little trial and error.
