fan/filter combo

Anyone ever order one of these from Amazon? One was VenTech, Lighthouse, and some other brand. Just looks like the price is much better than buying it by piece at the hydro store. Thanks.

I'll throw this tidbit out there. You usually get what you pay for.

Looking for bargains on fans and filters is asking for a noisy and smelly grow.

Save your money for a Vortex blowers and a Phresh, Phat or CAN branded filter. Bigger is always better. If the fan outruns your filter it will lack adequate time to adsorb odors.

P.S. if looking for a speed control use a variac.

I went the combo route and the fan seems decent but the filter hasn't been tested yet. Got the 4"" ventech. The fan is a little loud but my tent is in a good size room. Also ordered the variac transformer for speed control which is a way better option if you want something that works and won't damage your fan. Or burn down your house.
