Dude your own link has several studies that do show impairment.

"Meta-analyses of over 120 studies have found that in general, the higher the estimated concentration of THC in blood, the greater the driving impairment, but that more frequent users of marijuana show less impairment than infrequent users at the same dose, either because of physiological tolerance or learned compensatory behavior. Maximal impairment is found 20 to 40 minutes after smoking, but the impairment has vanished 2.5 hours later, at least in those who smoke 18 mg THC or less (the dose often used experimentally to duplicate a single joint).58, 59"
All of this, yet the don't seem to be having many accidents. Hmmm...

That is an opinion piece, not data. Driving deaths have been going down every year for a few decades now, the result of many disparate reasons.

Again, the government believes it to impair driving and they hold the keys to legalization, correct? So it is to them that we have to show that we can responsible adults and not drive impaired. How is this hard?

Honestly I'm out after this.

If you think there is a future for the legalization of cannabis that involves driving under the influence, you are delusional and dangerous to the movement. Go talk to anyone actively involved in it and get their take on your view that driving while high is good and should be legal.

The reason is simple, more weed has led to less alcohol. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to burn one IN MY CAR while I terrorize the local citizenry.:blsmoke:

I see you not from the hood, how many times don't you hear about folks who called the police wind up dead.

Where I'm from you fear the badge not the hoodies!!

I don`t know what all this means, but I was implying that the cops were dispatched to the place, How would they have a plan for it ?

I do live in a neighborhood, in a Ward, in a City in a State in a Country. We don`t fear the police, They know better than to use those strategy or tactics.

In lands of silence, criminals, do nothing, bow to faithfully,.....they prolly fear cops. Like where you`re from.

I shouldn't even bother but I will. You apparently have a hard time telling the difference between opinions and facts. It is your opinion that cannabis has caused less traffic fatalities, but that is not a fact.

http://www.iihs.org/iihs/topics/t/general-statistics/fatalityfacts/overview-of-fatality-facts

Traffic fatalities have been on a downward trend since the 70's. Partly due to a decrease in drunk driving, partly due to increase in vehicle safety, partly due to an increase in traffic control engineering and partly due to an increase in public appreciation for the dangers of driving. Looking a one state, in one year, of an overall trend is disingenuous at best, or at worst outright manipulation. It's the same bullshit the NRA tried to pull saying that Australia had a massive increase in violent crimes after banning guns. They used on city over one year, outright manipulation, just like your theory.

http://savemolives.com/facts-and-figures

Here is a listing showing a roughly 40% decrease in deaths in Missouri over 8 years, hardly a bastion of cannabis legalization. How do you explain this?

I don't think you realize how precarious the legalization movement still is right now. One high profile accident where a driver only on cannabis plows into a rich white family with young kids or something could potentially push back the whole movement.

Driving is a privilege, not a right. So go ahead and drive around impaired. Then you can come back in here bitching about the mean old cops who arrested you for driving impaired, sans several thousand dollars.

It's this type of narcissistic selfishness that still holds back the legalization movement.

Now excuse me, I'm gonna go eat some C99 edibles and WALK, like a sensible fucking adult who respects the rights of others, and their body.

What do you want?
I dunno, a rebuttal?

You put forward the notion that cannabis legalization in CO has led to lower traffic fatalities because of lowered drunk driving, with alcohol replacing cannabis.

I showed you with data, that a one state, one year study is not indicative of traffic fatalities in general. I showed you that in a decidedly anti-cannabis state (MO) traffic fatalities have still gone down. I also showed you that countrywide, traffic fatalities have consistently gone down for 3+ decades. I gave reasons why such a downturn could happen.

You respond with a weak retort / attack on my character. Instead of trying to reinforce your view with facts, you bowed out and quit.

That is the type of intellectual dishonesty you find in bigots. When presented with something that challenges their world view, they contract and deny. And that close-minded mentality that doesn't allow for change? That's the same type of personality traits found in racists and homophobes. So congrats, you have become what you hate.

But then humanity has always hated in others what they see in themselves.

I'm glad that where you're from you can pick up the phone and call police, I on the other hand come from a neighborhood where folks think long and hard when calling police, you worry if your going to be a victim of the badge.

How many times don't you hear about people of color calling for police for help and instead wind up getting shot, beat up by police.
