looks good man but you seem to be getting a lot of pins on the side of your substrate. try keeping the sides of your substrate covered and just exposing the top to light.
you definitely dont want to have to break up your mycelium to get those shrooms out and you def dont want to leave them in there, rotting fruits leads to contam.

85$ i would say defintely worth it if you don't want to go through all the trouble of making a containment free enviremont and using more advanced mushroom cultivation methods

You can easily make your money back that you spent on the kit. But it obviously depends on how much you sell them for, so you have to be aware of your local street prices.

Those homestead kits work really well IMO, I've used them several times with great results every time. I especially like it because I like to eat shrooms only a couple times a year. I think it really yields a good bit of shrooms considering how little work you need to put into it to make the kit produce.

I have right now a single 5.5 gram shroom that my recent kit grew that I'm saving for some weekend in October when me and teh wifey go camping. ;)

Those look good. I like homestead but I found they have a high contam rate (I bought one and they had to send me 3 total after the first and its replacement were both contaminated). I switched to getting bags from another site and I had no contamination.

I had the same problem with homestead. My first bag contamed and they did send me another bag. It also contaimed. They had a controlled 80 degree room. I never touched them the room was completly empty. They would start to callinize then the first little green would start. I'm with another company with good results. And I got way more bags for the 120 I first put out. They had a refill bag for 85$. But something was wron. I've had 2 good grows since.
