Extending more light hrs before harvesting?

I am in middle of flushing two plants right now.

They have about 2 weeks to go. Its been week 8 and 9 on them.

I also am starting 4 more seeds and they have just been planted and i only have 1 grow space.

I wanted to know if i can stretch the 12/12 cycle for my flushing plants and put it on 14on/10off or 16/8off cycle for two weeks and than give them 24 hrs darkness before harvesting.

I also have heard from one of the grow videos that many growers extend the lights to 14/10 1~2 weeks before harvesting?? Not sure if this is true but i saw it on a reputable grow video by some seedbank.

Would putting my flushing plants on 14/10 or 16/8 put it back into vegging stages?

Or can i get away with it since im flushing already.

Or would it be better to just leave my seedlings for 12/12 until i harvest and change the hours after i harvest for the seeds and let the seeds grow for next two weeks under 12/12??

Would that not harm my new seedings?
Rep for any input please.

Thanks!kiss-ass

Wouldn't it be easier to buy a CFL light and leave it on 24/0 in a tightly sealed cardboard box with a pc fan inside? Open once or twice a day to let them breathe and move over to your grow space or leave the box in the grow space until you pull the other plants out then chuck the box and continue vegging. I would do it this way IMHO but then again, it wont hurt if you left them with the rest of the plants.

I agree with Xeno on this one, but either way, 12/12 won't hurt the seedlings especially since it will only be 2 weeks. Actually, there's a lot of people here at RIU that like growing 12/12 from seed.

what i do is keep seedlings on windowsill till my 12/12's light up (yep every day till i flower em) then they get some sun too this works for just a few plants... not fun when you got a bunch
