hi iam getting ready to start my first LEGIT indoor grow. For all the EXPERTS, please feel free to leave any comments/suggestions. from all the stuff ive learned, this is what i feel is right so if theres any thing iam doing wrong, please correct me. ALSO, sorry posting twice. i didnt know exactly where i should post this.:peace:

FLOWERING ROOM
First off, i think ill start with the grow room. imma be using a Dark Room DR120 - 3'11" x 3'11" x 6'7" for the flowering room with a 600 watt digital hps with an Easycool6 reflector. if iam correct, i think iam suppose to connect something to both sides of the reflector? one side is pulling air in, and the other is pulling air out?

also iam wondering if iam able to grow DENSE nugs with a 600 watt hps. keep in mind that ill have about 6-8 plants flowering under it. if i cannot grow dense crystally nugs under a 600 watt, ill go with a 1000 watt.

ill have a couple normal house fans blowing the plants for good circulation. also i might add a few more vents?(or w/e they are called. i gotta read alittle more) for better environment.

i will be using FOx Farm ocean forest soil in 5 gallon growbags.

VEG ROOM

i will be using T5s for veg. vegging them in 1 gallon grow bags. ill be using a soil that is perfect for vegging but wen the plants get bigger, i will transplant them into a 3 gallon grow bag with ocean forrest soil.

i am basically using the fox farm nutes, superthrive, and seaweed extract.

so if i did anything wrong, please tell me what i should change. also to all the EXPERTS, iam having alittle trouble with the air/humidity stuff so some help would be great. peace and love

you might want to mix the oceanforest soil with lightwarrior or some other soil
for some strains there is too much fert in the soil and they will die instantly

thanks for the reply, but, the soil is not the problem. i have used ocean forest in my other grows so i know how it works. but again, thanks for the fast reply.:peace:

I see you said "i will be using T5s for veg. vegging them in 1 gallon grow bags. ill be using a soil that is perfect for vegging but wen the plants get bigger, i will transplant them into a 3 gallon grow bag with ocean forrest soil." but father up for flowering you said "5 gallon growbags." Would it just be more efficent to transplant to your 5gal ? 3gal should work anyways for flowering... just a thought, id like to see what others say

unless you are growing redwoods 3 gal will be fine, and regardless of what you say, you need to cut FFoF with perlite at a minimum of 20%. It will be way too compact at the bottom of your bags for good root development. As far as your actual setup, you should consider where your mothers are going to be as cloning is pretty much the best way to go. If you plan on putting mothers under t5's it's just gonna be alot of t5's and you could just get like a 400 MH with a nice spread hood since it's all veg anyway.

Wasn't gonna really mention that, but to come on a forum and ask for expert opinions, then shoot em down like you know whats going on, I don't get that. Real quick way to lose potential helpers :-|

well this sure got out of hand... heheheh... as far as the soil you dont need pointers there i see... the only thing i am seeing that your not thinking right is the fan setup for your HPS.... 600w will be plenty for dense nugs... but then you might want to add a co2 system... i have the dr120 as well ... but anyway... the deal with your hood is that you want the air to be pushed through it and out of the hut.... some people put a carbon filter on the end that is sucking air formt he fan... not sure if that makes sense... you can find plenty of pics of the setup if you look enough... but yeah... basically you will need one of those bad ass duct fans that have at least 400+ cfm... you will put hang the carbon filter... then attach the fan to it sucking through the filter... the ext of the fan will be attached to your hood to push the hot air out of your hut....

on another not about the soil... you might want to start them off in smaller cups.... i like to buy the 4 qt pots from walmart and start in there... once they are about the same size as the pots i transplant into bigger.. then repat unitl you have reached your desired bucket size.... this way the nutrients that are in the soil will last longer.... i have been growing with miracle grow soil and i know that it contains enough nutrients in it to keep the ladies happy for about 4 to 6 weeks... after that i transplant into larger buckets/pots and i get another 4 to 6 weeks of nutes.... this way you donot add anything but ph'd water at around 6 and your good to go....... check out my soil grow in my sig for proof... good luck...
