This is a 6 foot floor lamp, that points at the ceiling.

I have no idea what it is, but I'm curious if one could use it to veg or flower?

The only information I can derive from it is the wattage of the bulb. 300 Watts.

What do you think?

Aye, thanks for the info.

Oh, and one other questions;

Would aluminum foil draped over a pair of CFL lights be of any danger?

well foil is a very bad reflector and reflects uneven making hot spots and shouldnt be used in any grow area.If your tight on cash go to a dollar store and look for the gift wrap there is a shiny wrap called polywrap usually mettalic colrs but the back is silver. Its regular old mylar little thinner but its mylar costs about 1 buck for 15-20 feet

isn't that the same reflectivity as emergency blanket mylar? Something to the effect of 75-80 % Reflectivity as opposed to other forms of mylar hovering around 95+.

If I am right on that he would be better off going with a flat white paint...

I went to the local hardware store looking near the roofing area and found a gallon of elastomere paint that has around 90 percent reflectivity for around $15-20.. I am sure you can get it cheaper somewhere else as well.

I went to the dollar store and found two types, the tissue paper is just thinner is all I think, I'm going to try the tissue paper because you get more for the buck, see attached image.
