There's treachery afoot
So my white widow triplets were taken from a three year old mama but had to keep them in the starter box a little longer than usual. They were getting a bit leggy so crammed them into the flower room and stripped off the bottem foilage to increase light penatration to the buds. interesting thing is, they only gained about six inches of height the first three weeks of flowering, compared to my typical 18 to 24 with this strain. Buds are elongating and appearing oval in spots as opposed to a more round. I guess my question is, did I stunt the growth? It is working beautifully as I constantly fight the height restraints of my flowering space which now is not an issue as these girls are not getting taller, just thicker and more buds every day. I usually just let em grow the way they want to and end up with some pretty big, bushy plants. Kinda like this way, alot less leaves to deal with and Big beefy buds at only three weeks into flowering. Going to try it on another strain soon. Anyone with experience chopping on your plants to modify growth...encouraged to reply.

did u just put it in straight from clone? Looks like it could have used a little longer veg period.

Had to go right to flower with only one week veg under the 400 HPS. Leaving for Europe beginning of April so had to force em a bit so they were done before I leave. Was thinking I totally screwed up but the shorter height is working very well. Just wondering if I can pull it off again doing the same thing... but giving em just a wee bit more veg time. I have a wardrobe I converted to my flowering space and only about four and a half feet of vertical space so have to limit height to avoid pulling them out and hanging the light from the actual ceiling.

I had the girls under flourescent light for a month so they did get a little veg time in. Any sativa strains you could recommend? Thought maybe go with a scrog type next go to try to control the height. I try to keep my babies under 3ft, thought maybe a full Indica might be good. usually have much more time in the veg room but was playing with some seed and planted 8 last grow. 8 came out females and was only expecting about four. Gave one away but seven made my space pretty crowded. They were a variety and took 9 to 11 weeks to fully flower so got a little backed up. I have a big veggie garden in the summer so after the triplets are done, won't start again until fall, but always looking for ideas to play with over the winter. My avatar is from my last round, did very well.
