experiences with green light during flowering at night

I've read that with a green bulb it is possible to enter the flowering area when the hps is off. I like the idea but still worry a bit about doing that step.

What are your experiences with the green light? Is any green bulb suitable or do i have to buy some special one?

They make green CFL or green LED. I used a green LED headlight. I use it regularly and do much of my work at night due to outside work hours.

^this.^

you basically want to make sure you get a bulb where the actual light spectrum is green, not a yellow light that's painted green like partylights.

The green Cfls are just green paint on the bulb and do not reccomend while working in off cycle of flower.

i was wondering about this too. I am only 2 weeks into flowering and I have been using my Mini Mag LED light with the bottom of a Heineken bottle taped to it. Seems to be green light coming out of it. Hopefully I haven't effed up.

Just make sure it's an actual green bulb not one painted green like the others have said. If you use the right spectrum it wont matter how big of light you use.

I used a green party cfl for a year with no problems, don't know the brand but I got it from home depot. Now I use a green led light hanging shop light and that works well. The brightest I have seen is a green hydro farm 4' fluorescent and it is almost daylight in the room. That's what I'm going to use in my new rooms because I run separate light cycles so one room will be dark when I do my watering.

Bin using green cfl's for a few years now and actually have left the damn thing on over their whole night cycle a few times with no issues what so ever. I have never seen painted bulbs before? How can you tell the difference? Will you be able to scratch the paint off if its painted?
