Expected yield for first grow setup & questions

My set up is going to be.....

- 2 Black dog 600w lights (heard there pree much the best what's the hps equiv)
- 8 seeds/plants, fem cali dream (should i out more or less [info say medium height])
- 4x8x6.5 tent
- 6 inch Carbon filter and 6 inch fan (?)
- 2 monkey fans (do i need oscillating?)
- Mainline for 32tops (trying to get 8oz/half lb per plant[says 550 per sq ft])
^ i kno with mainlining/scrog it can be incr
- RO water with cal mag (iron etc deficiencies)
- Smart pots (for best root system and air)
Outlet temp controller (to turn fans off to keep temp steady)
^should i connect this to wall fans or inline fan

- any 1 had any luck with kind soil (do i use standard ro water with cal mag)

[Trying to do a water only setup]
------
Roots organic vs kind soil (mix both?)
Promix w kind soil (???)

Should i be fine if i use the thermostat to alter the temp?

With this kind of setup when shoud i switch to flower or at what height?

Any other tips and answers to these questions would be much appreciated hoping to get all of them solved

Thnx

Depends on your genetics. You pull that many tops off one plant kept small and you'll possibly get just a lot of small buds. You might be better off flowering several times before harvesting. Cuttings from the mother after the first onset of flowering after 2 weeks will be good stock to perpetuate the process.

Thnx for the reply could you explain more on the perpetual process i dont think i have room to keep clones in this 4x8 setup

L.A. Confidential for example is great quality, but when I attempt to train it I get multiple spindly arms that can barely support the weight of the not-that-large buds.

What's one way to overcome this?

•let it flower
•wait for first small bud sites to format then take cuttings to clone.
Pinch off or leave buds on.

Once they take, these plants will grow multiple sites and tops on its own, but that's not enough. Also, future clones will continue to have this trait.

Now you can put these out to flower, let them bush up with medium buds, then bring back in for veg. Flower again when ready to compete to harvest. That gives you 2 stages of flower PLUS the tight nodes and multiple arms from cutting manipulation.

Remember, this works for my specific Indica, it may treat your plant differently.

If you have room for a 5 gallon bucket, you have room to clone 28 cuttings. A small tray and dome works; hell, any to-go container with a clear snap-on dome lid will work. You can clone in rock wool, perlite mixed with vermiculite, or scale down the 5 gallon bucket to a Folder's tub and clone 8 at a time.

I never knew re-vegging a plant once buds were already formed was a thing! I would never try that.

It accidentally happened this grow. Small plant but every arm was basically a fat cola that weighed it down to the ground. A screen will be helpful.

Some folks call it monster cropping, but not everyone does clone manipulation and re-vegging.
I never knew what the hell "monster cropping" was. Never cared to look it up. That's cool though, when it works to your advantage and creates bushes! I may try it in the future, after all.

Lool i also plan on transplanting the smart pots to 15gallon pots w/ a two month veg soooooo recalculate i guess
K recalculating .....................................................

Just make it to harvest! Several months of keeping them alive and healthy. If anything I would shoot for and be happy with .5 grams a watt of good healthy bud.

Lol ypu havent told me why tho i do have w thermostat etc and will tend to keep the environment in check & what can i do to yield more with this setup
(As to the alculations hope your factoring in root space, mainline, 2000hps worth cuz of LEDs [best on the market apparently])
^ i assumed if your doing the gpw rule that you calculate the hps equivalent not the led actual watt [black dog names there products in actual watts not hps equiv like most leds]) lol

Soo this guy harvested 1.5lbs in HALF the space im using doing mainling (except in his space i want to put 4 plants instead of 2) jus wondering is this still possible

.....answers to some of the other questions would help too thnx guys

level of expertise matters. you seem to be doin well, readin up, gettin good equipment, talkin to people.
that being said, the calculators are crap. i started doin this two years ago, under a 400 watt hps, in coco, and was gettin maybe a half oz off a plant. now i'm getting around a quarter pound off a plant. some of thats from upgrading gear, but most of its from making every mistakes that could be made, and learning how to fix them.
in another two years, maybe i'll get to that level some of the people here seem to have attained, where they seem to be getting twice what i get with similar gear, effortlessly.
whatever you get the first time, be happy and know the next time will be better.
if the mites don't eat it first
