yea I've read up about both and LST seems to be a bit easier to get a grasp of and less likely to mess up. And also would LST be a good thing to do to a autoflowerer like lowryder or something like that, or should I just get a normal plant and veg it until it get like 6 inches long (sideways) and then induce flowering? Also I know with some flowers if you grow them and the stalk goes sideways and goes into the dirt some, it will start growing roots where the stalk is in the dirt; does mary-jane do the same thing?
Thank you

Well it all depends on your set up and what you'd like to achieve. My Exodus Cheese is an autoflower and her is smell is pretty potent with her size. She's very vigorous as well and reacts to LST with ease. but you have to be patient on when to start LST because if you start too soon like I did the stalk ends up touching the dirt a bit which if I waited I could of got a more straight 90 degree angle LST producing better buds because light reception. If you look at mine it's more of a curve. Also I don't know if marijuana does grow roots, possibly if you water it more directly in that area but I didn't because I started getting branches from there.

If you use a non-autoflower you can veg it for as long as you want so you could maximize out your box with vegetation growth lst'd.. so basically a 90 degree angle then induce flowering and the side branches will grow up and you'll get lovely sized buds that will come out decently dense if you keep the lights close to the buds. With CFLs you always wanna keep your buds 1-2 inches from the CFLs so you plant can receive a powerful amount of light and just slowly move her down as she grows. (If your gonna use CFLs) Now when using a regular cycle plant you'll also spend more time in veg and more time in flower. Overall a longer grow.

So another factor to consider is time, when do you wanna harvest and how large? Longer, obviously a larger harvest (Regular). Shorter, smaller (Autoflower).

yea i get what your saying. It would be awesome to have it do a 90degree turn. I think my deciding factor will be the outcome in this grow unless I start before your done which will probably happen haha. But yeah if you dont mine me asking what are the specs on your box as far as LxWxH. Also how are you dealing with smell if you are. I was thinking of using either Activated Carbon Sheets inside of a tube of some sort behind the exhaust fan or a homemade type of carbon filter with the pellets made from chicken wire and pantyhose and what not.

Anyways thanks for answering my questions and your little girl is looking good

No problem. What are you about to start? I don't have exact dimensions of my PC but I built a small box inside my PC.. Right now I just have some ONA in there with a dryer sheet over 1 exhaust fan. I'm thinking about doing the same, building a diy carbon filter and using that. Those sound like good ideas, be creative and find something solid that works for you. You'd be surprised, it doesn't take much to mask the smell.

Appreciate that. After I harvest this girl I'm planning on doing a random bagseed grow video series. Show my whole process after weeding out a female, the beginning LST all the way to yield and I'm gonna try to maximize my results.

Im not sure if I want to start with bagseed or order. Im thinking of doing a outdoor grow first though because where I'm living right now if my mom or family smelled weed (and they have noses like a hound) She would either kick me out or report me. I dont even smoke it anymore I just want to grow for spare change and what not. But yeah Im thinking of starting my plant indoors and then transferring to outside and already have it LST'd so it grow for the normal outdoor season while already having a month or so headstart. that would be some monster buds :D

Well this is coming around towards the end of the 7th week, 2 or 3 days after the other mid-week update. I'll be posting an update of the 8th week once it starts. I feel like the nugs are forming faster and faster..

You might try ONE black to curb the smell, i read it works well. The non toxic chemicals in the ONA black bind with the organic compounds released from the plant, neutralizing the odors

Week 9

She's growing pretty well, the leaves look droopy though and are slowly yellowing. Bud production is still coming in though..
