O.k. so Im sure I could go on & on through all the 600 pgs. to find a similar discussion but lets cut through this! I am soon to build a new stealth cabinet for a seperate scrog grow & saw this design....looks perfect for me. I dont plan on the use of Co2 anyway. Seems like a good idea to combine everything. I would like to know if anyone has done this maybe nothing new...but it is to me! I considered if proper blower is offered to the cab then maybe a simple dummy intake would be fine:!:....anyone care to comment/illustrate

hi, i'm by no means an expert, but i reckon that would work. As long as the fan is strong enough. I have the same sort of arrangement, but in reverse. I've got the cooltube in a tent, then ducting going into my fan, then ducting from the fan to outside the tent with the filter on the end of it. Your way may be better as i've heard alot of people prefer pulling air through the filter, not pushing through it.

Also, something else to note is some people reckon that using the cooltube ducting and fan as the only exhaust from a tent/room is no good.

Although i must say i've never had a problem with it, i've done one grow and am on my next grow. Both have been in pretty high outside temps. My tent didn't get hot at all, i've got 180-190 something CFM fan for a 3x1.5x6 foot tent.

Hope this helps

Another non expert here..... If you were to separate your cool tube from you intake/exhaust ports, you would have better control of the climate. I have the intake/exhaust fans on a humidistat so they do not operate all the time. The cool tube exhaust fan is timed with the lamp. Obviously it does not need to be on all the time. Im sure the setup you are trying to achieve will do. Either way good luck with your grow!

Its gonna work! I believe the trick is to fully ensure an air tight (with exception to dummy inlet/2" PVC) to allow an average size fan to exchange air properly instead of just a big fan! Now as to techs comment...I am considering this...I see as to this cab being a small maybe 250W HPS/MH lamp for a nice little scrog grow! I here of quite a bit of difference with electricity/HEAT with this fixture. I dambled into the 250 club...cool spot but this should be in there somewhere! As I progress I will share some pics with those guys....anyone got any photos of similar?

it will work until conditions change and you need to adjust the temperature...

lots of people drive on flat tires every day but that does not make it right...

Dedicated fan for the light and exhaust/intake on a thermaostat is the guarantee of environmental control...

But if you don't care about that stuff.. go ahead... I'm sure you will make it work... until you realize you need to upgrade..

This is THE correct way to set up air cooled lights... everything else just works... maybe...

Hope this helps... cutting corners on ventilation is not a very smart idea in my opinion...

But I am a dumbass with oral diarrhea... so go with what you know...:o
