exhaust dragging cold air in.

Hi, if i put 45 400w lights in the room and have 4x 4250cfm box fans with filter taking the hot air out, if i put lets say 10 separate 8 inch holes with ducting running to outside that room but with no input fans will air automatically be dragged in as the 4x 4250 box fans should be dragging fresh air in am i right to presume this? and would it work.

Yes this will work. 10 intake holes is probably overkill though. Remember, you want to be pulling that air from the coldest place possible. I pull mine from a dirt floored crawl space under my house.

Ain't no crawlspace gonna be big enough to ventilate 45 x 400W lights!

Ha!

For some reason when I read that, I read 4 or 5 400w lights....45...nope. That is crazy to even think about attempting without major AC and CO2.
Well, you might be surprised at what some of us can pull off; while I don't know if the OP plans to run a flip schedule, dividing this in half gets us to 23 x 400W = 9200W. I can cool that load with just four Tons of water chilling, as that's a very similar load to a buildout I just completed for a client. Four Tons of water chilling will cool both sides of the flip schedule seamlessly, provide dehuey and even chill RDWC water. That pulls just 4kW to cool everything. Suddenly it doesn't seem so monstrous, does it?

well the location where i am its a very cold place same language as you but across the sea and we have a queen lol, ive had 35 600w lights up before with 3 x 4250cfm out's and that was all ok. we didnt use any inputs as the air got dragged in from all over place. in this setup the one side of the ducting would be outside and the other in the rooms, the room itself will be approx 12m meters long and 5.5 meters wide.
