no, but sexual harassment IS illegal.

yeah, the 5 figure settlements are in no way related to any charges of sexual harassment, i'm sure.
Exactly right. Settlements are reached all the time in these types of cases for many reasons. Actual guilt being just one of many.

what about the tea party republican woman? since the standard seems to be that we judge the veracity of the claim based on the political ideology of the accuser rather than a thorough examination of any facts, shouldn't we go ahead and concede that one?
Facts? so far no "facts" have been brought forth, I've been following this closely for the last couple of days and so far everything EXCEPT facts have been paraded around. I would love to see some "facts".

yeah, testimony from the victims, eyewitnesses, 5 figure settlements....that is zero evidence.
Correct again. The only "testimony" that has been released so far is public statements made at press conferences and on talk shows... couldn't be further from "testimony" . There have been ABSOLUTELY NO eyewitnesses to anything, just as there has been no evidence that ANYTHING happened....ever. All you have is SMALL settlement, keep saying 5 figures like that makes it more than it is (just like the MSM is doing - LOL). If there were ANY real sexual harassment, the settlements would be VASTLY larger than $20 - $30 thousand dollars. That's below what the legal fees would be to defend the charges.

Irrefutable evidence of what?
Of sending photos of his johnson via twitter.

Don't get me wrong, I couldn't care less that he did that, but then I didn't bring up Weiner. UB did and I was just responding about the difference in the two instances relating to tangible evidence vs hearsay. Weiner might have been fine if he didn't publicly lie about the photos, I don't know.

And I'm not defending Cain, because I don't know if he's guilty or not, neither do you and neither does the media. I'm just not willing to hang him out to dry without something more than accusations. And so far, much of what he's being accused of is perfectly legal, adulterous maybe, but legal.

Since when did sticking your hand up a woman's skirt to fondle her genitals (without permission or prior knowledge of his intent) become a "pass"? Where I live that is considered sexual assault. Or tell her that she had to perform if she wanted a job. Where I'm from that's sexual harassment and sexual extortion. Like I said before in this thread, a couple of accusations without proof can be shrugged off. Three or four accusations stretches the imagination of the most gullible. Now we have a woman who came forth with her story and several eyewitnesses that have nothing to gain by smearing Cain. Not to mention the accusations have jumped to seven women (possibly eight or more).

But by all means, please keep plugging his nomination. I would love to see him run against O'Bama. Besides I don't think for a minutes Mr. Cain was ever serious about winning it in the first place. It's all been a publicity stunt to sell his stupid ass book. He's just another Trump trying to boost ratings/sales.

I dont know if Cain did anything. But he is not handling it right if he is guiltless
In regards to Weiner.
What did he do that was illegal?

Apparently you don't read so well. I said I didn't know if he was guilty, but neither do you. Everything you listed is hearsay, unsubstantiated hogwash, from 14 years ago. And was never reported to anyone until now. Accuser also says taking money for interviews isn't out of the question, now what could be the motive... hmm. And he told her she had to perform to get a job, that's very damning, unless it's an utter fabrication. And hey, keep saying there's eyewitnesses when there are precisely NONE, maybe if you keep saying it one will magically appear.

And to set the record straight, the number of accusers still stands at four, not seven or eight as you like to keep repeating. So far the ONLY credible talking point is that the NRA made two EXTREMELY small settlements for what the women themselves say was due to remarks that weren't even overtly sexual in nature. That's all you got, nothing else. Those are the only two instances that are verifiable and documented, everything else is hearsay, it doesn't matter if the liberal smear machine pays off 20 women, tea party members... interns from his radio program, whoever wants to get paid. Times are hard, I'm sure there are plenty of women who would love the attention.

This Bialek woman is not credible in the least from what we're hearing about her extreme financial problems, hiring Gloria Allred and shopping for interview money. Grinning from ear to ear while she reads a recount of the events like it's the first time she's heard it. Take her out of the mix, embrace a reasonable amount of skepticism toward the woman from the Obama adminstration and where are we? Right back to the settlements over a non sexual remark...that's it.

i mean shit... the only reason no testimony has arisen in court is because of settlements.... i bet if obama 'settled' a sexual harassment claim and avoided a lawsuit and possible prosecution by paying off an aide with 50,000 dollars you'd be crying to have him burnt at the stake....

Like I'm going to read three paragraphs of your GOP talking points. All I have to say is, let the chips fall where they may. We'll see as the story unfolds what exactly Cain is made of. I have a pretty good idea since he brought a lawyer to his last press interview.

Who the fuck are you kidding? You read every word. But go ahead and dismiss valid points as GOP talking points, so what if I'm not a Republican and so what if plenty of the GOP is jumping on board to bring Cain down. Have you heard about this yet, probably not if you only get your news from the MSM.

I'll provide the link for those who actually want information that hasn't been filtered to serve the liberal agenda. Everyone else can discount the interview because of the presenter, with your predictable, condescending mockery.
