I am currently using well water for my plants. Everything seems to be running smoothly with the plants as well as the soil. However, a friend of mine advised me to put Epsom Salt in the water to avoid calcium blockage in the roots. Has anyone had to do this to their water, or is there any other setbacks from using well water?

Uhmm well water usually has significant amounts of dissovled ions in it, usually with loads of Cal-Mag. Epsom salts with already high EC well water prolly would cause Nute lockout in weed plants. But then again, every well is different. I would suggest that if the plants look fine, don't change anything. But if you can contact your local water company and get a water report for ur well water, it will tell u the dissolved calcium and magnesium. Usually anything above 100 ppm and u don't need Cal-mag or epsom salts.
