Everything nearly ticked..

Ok, so I somehow managed to get this far without killing her, getting arrested or setting something on fire, so that is nearly all of my first grow aims ticked. Last one is getting something at all usable from the whole project, which is where your experience hopefully comes in.

She is a Bulldog Seeds Northern Lights x skunk #1 photo grown under CFL's. Picked the strain as I want to grow something helpful for my wife's MS pain rather than a head type high. Herbies website says 8 weeks flower. She is now 58 days from flip, she showed sex at 5 days from flip and bud sites showed 4 days later, so she is 49 days or 7 weeks since bud sites first showed.

I can see amber on some of the sugar leaves but know that they colour up first, and I need to go by the actual buds, and I also know to take the advised flower time with a pinch of salt.

Basically, can anyone give me a clue as to roughly how long I have left? I don't want to get this far and then cut far too early or far too late. I have no previous experience so don't really know what a 'ready' bud looks like, so I would rather get another opinion from someone who does.

everyone has their own method I used to look at caylxe's trichomes Etc. all I do now is wait on the buds to get hard and dense and then pull
for me every time I would look at trichomes excetera my buds would never be really dense so I just waited until I got hard and hugs or dense nugs and then pulled and never had a problem since

Those are nice buds, I would say she is ready or pretty darn close. If you still have some white pistils you could wait until they turn amber or recede into the buds. It is good practise to find your sweet spot with the triches
The most common is about 85% cloudy and 15% amber but that is not engraved in stone, as you grow more, compare and find what is good for you.

There are very few white pistils showing now. Not really got any 'lower' buds to think about as I scrogged, which makes life easier at this point.
Looking under a 30x loupe i can see a mix of clear and cloudy with a very occasional amber trich on the actual buds. I am struggling to guess a percentage as the lights seem to reflect and alter colours, but I don't look too far away now. Probably slightly more cloudy than clear
I took a very small (3g wet) bud on weds night and I am now having a trial run at drying. As it is so small it should only take 4 or 5 days to dry looking at how it is so far, so I will have a better idea if we try it on sun/mon.
I am off for a few days next week, which will be bang on the 8 week guide, so I might be getting my fiskars out then or even before.
Thinking about it, I need to learn how to roll a joint before then! This last few months has been one of the biggest learning curves I have had for decades!
