ok so im going to be starting my grow preferably next week if everything goes as planned. This is my first grow and im going to be using my Power Skunk seeds as my test subjects since I don't really care for them much.
I'm planning to make everything I can. My box will be 3.5x2x6.5 (WxDxH). This gives me ~7sq ft. Im planning on growing 7-8 plants SOG using Ebb N Flo. For lights ill be using 2 (econo!) 150W HPS in DIY cool tubes plus a few CFLs.
Here are my current plans but its likely to be revised...
I know the pic says 8-10 SOG plants but that was before i had to shrink the box some more. Thus me wanting the following)
Im also planning on growing 2 more plants in a bent fashion (dont know its actual name) so that i can grow an extra strain or 2. I got the idea from a book and it makes it seem like it can do a fairly well job. Ill be supporting them with some polished metal wire just under the point where no light goes. Heres a pic of what the book shows:
Ill have some extra CFL to help light these just a bit
ATM I'm not 100% sure where ill be vegging/cloning. I'm thinking of keeping the mom and her girls under the flowering area. The entire thing will be light proof and there will only be 3 areas for intake/exhaust. I'll be using multiple 100+CFM pc fans to do my exhuast. I'll also be using more pc fans to make the stems stronger. (i've collected like 30 fans over the years). For my first grow i'll be keeping a very watchful eye on the temps. It's very hot here and the others in my house like to be AC nazi's. If temps exceed 76F (i like to keep the house at a constant 70F) then I'll be buying a dedicated 6500BTU window ac with some more carbon filtering. Cant be too careful with odor leaks.
As for odor control. TONS of fabreeze (fuckin carpet), gels and a DIY scrubber are planned.
I'm not sure what nutes I want to use. I was thinking fox farm since alot of people here seem to love the organic stuff but I havent decided yet. There was a thread somewhere that had 2 nutes instead of the 3 from fox farm which to me sounds a tad easier to manage. I cant remember the name of the top of my head, i have it saved on my other pc. Any recommendations here would be greatly appreciated.
uuuughhh im not sure what else to add tho I'm sure im missing something. I've been doin as much research as i can but now i just need to see what everyone thinks so i can work in any improvements/fixes. Sorry for the looonggg post and thanks for reading!
