ever tried a solo cup grow.

Anyone ever tried a solo cup grow? If so how did it turn out? Curious to try...

i started in a solo cup...after germ..i let it sit there on my desk and cover it with lights.
once it popped out and started grown leaves, i transplanted it into a bigger pot..(where it is now)

^^^ that's typically what I do. Just wondering if anyone has used this method from start to finish.

what type plant do you have their growing? it looks really nice

Mixin...I didn't grow that plant. I pulled it from another site from a guy who tried it.
The thread only got 3 replies so I wasn't able to get much from it.

its probably possible to grow in a cup the whole time as long as its able to drain the water you give the plant well... also depends how big the cup is... but that guy's plant looks pretty good so i guess its ok to try

did they have a competition not too long ago with this? i think it was a shot glass or somthing, not sure tho

heres pitbudz grows he uses the cups and sicc and myself are also using them this grow i jus love the look of the awesome plants in a lil pot haha reminds me of chris farley fat guy in a lil coat hahaha

and big gravy do you have a journal on that lil lady????

The watering method is key to growing in small containers.

Get party cup, trimmed down 20oz bottle or other small container.
Cut drain holes in bottom.
When you water, put cup in bigger container like a coffee can or a bucket and fill with water/nutes until root/dirt mass is totally submerged
Wait until bubbles stop coming to the surface.
Remove cup and let drain thouroughly.
Do not water again until it starts to droop slightly from needing water.

You'll have to do this every couple of days, every time you water, but you can grow some very dense nugs this way given the right other conditions (temp, humidity, good soil, etc). You won't grow trees, but you can make some fine bushes.

Heres one. In a PC case. Only one 42w cfl so a pretty weak grow but its a first time grower, so I think with some experience you could pull something decent.
