just wondering if watering ur plants with rockstar or redbull type energy drinks help?

also would coca cola be good cheap fertilizer for budding due to the phosphoric acid?

I use Dr. Pepper for 3 days then switch to Mountain Dew from veg to flower and I finish 4 weeks total with 7' plants yielding 5lb's each under 1 13watt cfl just kidding . Dude you'll get sooo many bugs and possibly diseases. Try Molasses or pure unprocessed unfiltered honey

yes water your plants with 4L of coca-cola every other watering. this will make them grow 2x bigger then they normally would. also a little bit of battery acid about 10ml per gallon will fatten up your buds. and of course if you want to make your buds taste fruity, you cant forget to crush up fruitloops and add that into waterings.

and if you want a really strong plant, feed it rat poison, this will send it into a slight shock but when it recovers (believe me it will) it will be immune to any poisons/ disease.

all these methods are 100% organic or i wouldnt be posting in this section.

if you finished reading that post, you must be an idiot. dont feed your plants energy drinks or pop, get some molasses for sugar.

what do u think pop is? sugar water phosphorus CO2, all that stuff is good, but i dont see why ppl would add sugar (molasses) to their soil.

Somebody (or more) obviously doesn't understand the concept of organics (or plant bio in general). Even if you weren't growing organically, all of that stuff is not 'good'. A primary issue is the carbon dioxide. Plant roots do not utilize carbon dioxide (foliage does), they actually breath oxygen and most of the soil biota does as well. Carbon dioxide is heavier than air; it tends to settle, not rise... meaning if you poured any carbonated beverage on a plant not only is the gas not going to help the plant, it could cause problems for the roots and the microbes.

Phosphoric acid could also burn the roots, and I am pretty sure that plants actually absorb salts of phosphoric acid (phosphates). Granted that these salts will probably form as the phosphoric acids dissociates H+ ions in the substrate...but WHY?

Sugar and molasses are far from the same thing. Molasses is a by-product of the sugar-refining industry, left over from after the majority of sugar has been precipitated out. Of course there is still sugar that remains, but more importantly minerals have been concentrated. So molasses introduces some carbohydrates primarily intended to stimulate microbial activity as well as minerals.

Soda is too likely to shock or even kill the microbes before they could ever utilize the sugar, and even if it didn't it is quite useless nonetheless.

yea i know organic means no chemicals but there are so many of them in organic compost, all the stuff u put into compost consists of chemicals, its broken down recombined by the microbes. some chemicals good some are bad, that is why i asked this question. ppl always talk about coffee being good but its loaded with caffeine, same with energy drinks, except they got different stuff. i personaly think groundup multivitamins and water would be best for the minerals. btw i just used molasses (for the Mg) cause my fertilizer that has micro nutes also has high phosphate (they veggin atm). a few of my plants have Mg deficiency and im not sure what the cause is.

Dude you should try "JOLT" for vegging. Why do you think they gave it the name?!
For flowering what I do normally is drink a bottle of Jack and sprite, bottle it up for a day to lower the ph and then use it during flowering. The way the trichomes shine is just amazing!!!

* for real though, what's in soda is high fructose corn syrup. That shit will seal your roots up for good!

The ignorance of people like you kind of disgusts me, but it also amuses me a bit. Sorry: but you don't know what organic means and I have a feeling it would take too long for me to explain to you to be worth the effort (otherwise I would try).

You might start here: http://soils.usda.gov/sqi/concepts/soil_biology/soil_food_web.html

well i was thinking the phosphoric acid would make a good PH down, i know the CO2 is used by the leaves but im not quite sure what it would do to the roots, and even the carbonic acid may down the ph noticably.

i find growing organic creates/uses more chemicals than nonorganic. compost bins filled with food scraps and whatever u put in it has chemicals proteins enzymes, which all gets broken down and recombined by microbes. i personally think more chemicals than fert sticks and ph +/- ferts. ppl always talk about coffee grounds being good and that is loaded with caffeine, how is caffeine good for plants?

i might actually water one of my plants with pop when it buds, im kinda worried that the caffeine might kill it.

LMFAO.. what?!?! Yes, those would work! In fact!, why don't you just go out and buy some pure sodium, and dump that into the mix.

as for the RedBull idea, GENIUS! Give your plants some RedBull, and watch them grow wings and fly away!!!

come on man, with a screen name like that... I would DEF. hope that you wouldn't even be considering trying that.. :|

fertilize with all that bullshit and post pics, what u need to do is throw away all the knowledge in your head that you think you may know and go and buy the indoor cultivators bible by jorge cervantes. although you will find alot of useful info online from some experts you will also find some bunk ass theorys and ideas, this being one of them. try and locate someone who grows or just go to your nearest hydro store and ask for information. seriously i bullshit with them like a hour or 2 every time. best thing to do is take it all with a grain of salt and use logic.

Chemicals, proteins and enzymes... oh my!

Broken down and recombined... uuhhh, you've mentioned, that but be honest; you have no idea what that actually is supposed to mean, do you? I don't think many organics growers actually need any kind of a pH down additive (I certainly don't), and I prefer to raise my pH with something that will actually last, provide secondary minerals and not piss off or dehydrate my microbial communities.

Coffee grounds ≠ caffeine

Is he a troll or just quite narrow?

I hate to be the one to admit this but yes a year or so ago I actually tried this. 6oz of amp energy drink in a gallon of water every other watering.
Guess what?!
Not a damn thing in any noticable way happened same strand I've grown for 2years now they always looked the same and always yield on average the same.
Not until I switched to a REAL organics type of growing did yields increase slowly but steadily as so did my understanding of what your trying to do in organic farming.

So in short soda and energy drinks will have no real added benifit in a feeding program but in small amounts atleast will not cause harm either

(except to your microlife I would imagine)
also they would not be considered organic by any means I wouldn't believe.

I do use molasses but really just to start feeding fungi when I make soil mixes and then once when I first start flower to kinda give the micro life a food burst to help population levels jump a bit blah blah blah.... Just what works for me.
