Weird looking embryo leafs.

hello everyone.

I have 2 (unknown KB plants..well I have 1 left. The other plant died from stem rot)

Well, the one that is still alive.. and doing really well.. looking really healthy.. well it looks like it has a genetic problem.. I think? Not 100% sure.. but it looks deformed kinda.

The first leaves that come out.. the embryo leafs.. they look funny. They're fused together... like.. I mean they're spread apart from each other.. but not completely. That make sense? LOL.

I hope it did.. because I have never had a plant that looked like this one does. It's growing just fine.. and everything.. its just the embryo leafs are kind fused together. I really need to post a pic of this thing.. but my camera is broke. I'll borrow one from my best friend.. or see if my gf has time to drop hers off by my house before she goes to work today.

Seriously.. the chances of getting a plant that looks as weird as this one does.. is very very unlikely.

I'll update this thread after I get a good close-up of the plant I am talking about.
The seed that the plant was born from.. came from Nirvana. I think they may have accidently made a mutant and not known about it. LMAO. :D

It's cool though, like I said she's growing really well, looks healthy, and is about 6 days old now.

Argghh.. its so hard trying to explain how the plant looks without posting a picture of it. So if your interested in seeing a mutated but healthy plant.. keep checking back to the thread as I will have a pic of this thing posted some time today.

Thanks.

peace.

I think I know what you mean. the shell casing has hardened on the tips of the cotyledons and they won't open right? just take a razor and carefully cut the skin which should open them up. Also misting tends to help if you don't want to surgically remove it. Just be very careful. Those cotyledon leaves can be brittle and if you happen to break one off.... bye bye plant

Hey buddy, if that were the actual case.. you nailed it. That's what I would want to do if that were the actual situation. However... I was wrong. Yep, totally my fault.

It's not the embryo leafs that are fused together at the edges... its' actually the
first set of true leafs that come out with
the embryo leafs. My bad.. so yeah.

It's actually the set of true leafs that are fused together at the edges.. the leafs that are right after the embryo leafs. I guess that would be the first set of true leafs right? Either way... I was wrong and now I corrected it.

I have never seen anything like this before.. but hey as long as it keeps growing and stays healthy like it's doing now it's cool.

(again.. I will update this post with pics of the plant tomorrow afternoon. Sunday afternoon November 1st, 2009.. so everyone can get a better view of what I'm trying to describe here.)

Until then, goodnight and happy Halloween to everyone!

Peace.

yeah thats what it is exactly
I didnt have this problem until I started buying real strains, my bag seeds NEVER did that shit
now about 50% of em (I got several different kinds) I take tweezers and remove the hard part.
Also yeah misting helps OR if your germing in soil bury them a little deeper and it all comes off b4 the pop though the soil.
