Hey Mtbazz!
I would suggest hanging it from a bungee, as in the picture below. It reduces vibration noise and damage, and is the easiest way to hang a fan.
My Vortex fan is hanging in the top right of this picture, by a red bungee. It's been there without problem or care for years.
